We ordered five dishes from the main course and only 'one' was acceptable, the others were extremely bland. At the end of the meal (we left most of the food because it was just terrible) we spoke to the waiter and told him what we thought. He said he'd ask the manager to come over, we waited approximately 10-15 minutes before he came, just shows how much he cared. When we spoke to him about the food not being flavoursome, he seemed to get the word 'flavoursome' mixed up with 'spicy' mmmm. I said no flavoursome is 'tasty' not asking for 'spicy'. His reply was if you told us at the beginning he would have made sure it was more 'spicy'. He just did not get it, I told him all the food was bland, no flavour. I told him, I don't see why I should ask for good quality flavoursome (not particularly spicy) food this should always be standard practise I would have thought. We paid for our meal in full, was not looking for a reduction on the bill but tried giving them some constructive criticism, they just were not interested in the least. Would certainly not recommend this restaurant it's just far too big. Personally I feel they need to have less customers and concentrate on giving better 'quality food'.

Note that we live 3500 miles away so it is quite a chore for us to visit this restaurant. Tonight we had the house special lamb curry and the spinach chana paneer with lime rice. Both dishes were excellent. They had the right mix of spices and tasted great. The waiter listened to what we like and recommended that lamb dish instead of the one we initially chose. We found out that this restaurant is really a Pakistani restaurant with an Indian name. There are a numbers of Pakistani dishes on the menu. As we found out they can also do Indian dishes well. The food that they offer is amazing, and if there is anything that you want that they dont' have on the menu they can normally make it for you. As with the majority of places along the river front in Bidford it was affected by the floods of last year, meaning a complete refurbishment and this has definitely had a positive effect. The decor is modern and clean, the seats are comfortable and there is plenty of space so you do not feel like you are squeezed in. They also offer a take away service, and normally the time that they tell you to turn up to pick it up is spot on, meaning that you do not have to wait around for ages. At the entrance to the restaurant they have really comfortable sofas, either for people waiting to takeaway or people waiting to be seated, though these are normally free due to there being plenty of seating and the fact that the food is ready when they say it will be. This Indian is so good that my sister even used to make a 30 mile round trip just to get food from here. I cannot recommend it enough.
