Okay, I wish the 3 star rating said anything but "A-ok!" Because, while this store has some lovely…read moreand unique things, there are two problems: 1. This is a packed-to-the-gills gift shop with a nice selection, everything from kiddie items to women's clothing and jewelry, to the full gamut of the "Home Goods" type of great little things for the home. And even specialty items for men, BUT--they have one rather major flaw: THEY DO NOT GIFT WRAP (!!!) WHAT KIND OF A GIFT SHOP DOESN'T GIFT WRAP FOR YOU? The whole reason for going to a privately-owned gift shop like this, rather than Home Goods, Marshall's, TJ's, or even online, etc, is to get personalized service, and that SHOULD include gift wrapping--at least, for as long as I've been going to gift shops (and that's quite a long time, lol). If I'm going to pay regular retail price, then I expect better--gift wrap and all. Tsk, tsk, Queen Street! You can do better, especially at Christmas! 2. Though she seems to try to contain herself, the lady up front is always a little cranky. Not pleasant. :/

Nice gift wrapping is offered (not sure why the other reviewer said they don't do gift wrapping). Incidentally the store has a new owner since summertime 2018 and I've noticed she has decluttered the aisles a bit since taking over. I was at first a little concerned there would be less things to choose from but actually they have been bringing in many great new items and I think the new owner has a good flair for choosing products for the store.

Shakespeare once penned "to thine own self be true." i would pen this as "keep thine own manure to thyself." have been going here for years BECAUSE ITS UNUSUAL.BECAUSE ITS HIGH END. yet nature called this time. when i asked about a restroom they pointed me to the back where the porta potties are. the first one i opened was simply a predessor of what was to come. the other two left me w an impossible choice. i was trying not to dry heave entering the chosen one which was a slim comparison of the lesser of the other 2 evils. by the time i got to the front entrance where the car was parked i was bent over the car holding onto dear life with persistant vomiting onto the gravel. i felt so pretty. my friends would not go to lunch as planned as their description of my dryheaving in the car & my green face did not lend itself to eating. to not describe these portolets is not spareing you dear reader, but myself from the visuals that would prompt unyielding dryheaving every. single. time. that i think about this.my problem with this: i have a pretty strong stomach. my dad in the medical field would come home for dinner & while we were eating could easily talk about such subjects as pus. im no stranger when it comes to intestinal fortitude. these portolets were otherwordly disgusting, which to me were a complete insult to their customers who are spending small fortunes. i have never left there spending less than $300.00. and I'm on a pretty tight budget but I plan & save to come here. and most of their customers did not fall off the turnip truck or are backwoods farmers looking for something "purdy." show some respect to your customers. you want me to spend $250. 00 on some little garden ornament then clean up your act. make sure you use a real bathroom before coming here. Finally had a chance to go apple picking with a group of friends at this lovely, sprawling orchard…read moreduring Fall Festival Country Music theme weekend. There was a lot going on throughout, including awesome live music, hot apple cider, farm store filled with gourmet products, multiple food vendors, pumpkin cheesecake tastings, and of course the vast orchard where all the apple trees were, which were all located uphill. There were over 10 different types of apples, such as Mutsu, Evergreen, Macoun, Snapdragon, and Honeycrisp. I mostly collected the more unique kinds. I also managed to locate the Pear trees, way behind the hay riding area. I picked Asian and Bosc pears. We went on a hay ride, which was $5 and it was rustic, bumpy, giving a sweeping view of the beautiful orchard grounds. Back in the main area, we had lunch. By this time, lines were pretty long, so we divided and conquered, as well as found a place to sit. I shared Pork Ribs and Fries, which were both very tasty. The Ribs were delightfully tender and well seasoned. Fries were perfectly crispy. One draw back was that most everything at the store and most lunch items were quite expensive. Overall, there were great vibes, and I really enjoyed the views at the farm, apple / pear picking, as well as the hay ride.

One of the best times I've had in a really long time!…read more As a born and raised Floridian, I'd never been apple picking, but a fall trip demanded it so we found ourselves here on the last weekend of the season. We started down at the bottom of the hill with "Apple Cannons" ! Pneumatic launchers that lobbed our apples into an old truck, pumpkins, hay bales, and fun targets. So awesome! Then we headed up to the main event and wow! It was a total vibe! - A live band playing exactly the perfect country music you'd expect at an apple orchard on a cool fall day. - Vendors selling soft & hard cider, juice, various hot foods, and my personal favorite, hot fresh apple cider donuts! - Costumed characters walking around passing out trick or treat candy to the kids. - An Apple orchard! Row after row after row of apple trees, most were picked pretty clean, but we found lots of juicy and delicious fruit waiting for us on the trees. You can wander around and eat whatever you want or buy a bag and take some home... We did both! Inside there's a general store and souvenir shop as well, and everyone we let or talked to was helpful and friendly, but we had all our fun out in the open.
