Oh, man, I do not like to write bad reviews about any businesses, especially during times like these when everyone is struggling to make a living, but I feel that I have a moral responsibility to let any potential customers know that this company is the *least* professional and skilled I've ever worked with; and trust me, I've worked with a lot of companies being that I am an accountant.
I placed an order with Balloons Bash mid-May for a June 27th delivery. After I made the $100 deposit, I never heard a word from anyone regarding confirmation of colours and other details of my orders. I followed up via text and email but every time their answer was "you haven't replied to our May 18th email." Then I would send them copies of the email along with pictures to give them an idea what I wanted and there was silence again. At one point someone replied "Thank you for the email and picture, we'll get back to you within 48 hours". Days went by and again, there was no reply. Then I followed up again and the answer was again "you never replied to our May 18th email". Eventually, the owner of the company called (after I got really angry and requested my $100 deposit to be refunded). He apologized and said "from now on, you only deal with me". So, I went ahead and paid the balance (over $600) and sent the owner a picture of the desired arrangement to his email. Guess what? He didn't reply or acknowledge receipt of picture either. So, I followed up again and once again had to resend the pictures and details of the event.
Finally, the time came to deliver the balloons. They were supposed to be delivered at 11, am. *One* guy came at 12:30 ALONE. I should mention that I also ordered a round backdrop that is made of two pieces of wood that are joint together in the middle. That is a two-man job, not one. Arrangement was supposed to be installed in the backyard. It was a windy day, so the guy left to find a Dollarama to buy ties and whatnot. Why did he come unprepared knowing ahead of time that the arrangement was going in the backyard and that it was a windy day, I will never know. What I do know is that this was supposed to be a surprise party for a 9 year old and it was supposed to start at 1pm. At 1:30 the balloons were not installed. After a few failed attempts, we decided to move the balloons indoors. Guy entered our house without mask and after finally putting the backdrop together (which was very dirty and scratched) and bringing in a bunch of flimsy and and dirty balloons (garland looked like he just put it together in his minivan) he attempted to glue the letters on the backdrop. To *nobody's* surprise, he had nothing to glue them with. So he asked my daughter to give him HONEY to try and glue the letters to the board! When that failed too, he left YET AGAIN to go buy tape. After a very long and frustrating wait, we finally had the birthday boy come home before the arrangement was installed, as his father was going in circles trying to give this balloon guy time to finish the job. The letters were taped with clear tape, in a fashion that my 9 year old would have done a much better job had I asked him to do it instead.
Long story short - this company is a joke, their employees are probably 12 year olds who don't know the first thing about balloons nor customer satisfaction. Please, don't listen to the "happy customers' reviews", these guys are writing their own reviews! Do yourself a favour and take your business somewhere else. read more
