I came here on a Sunday afternoon. It was fairly crowded. You can only enter the experience at the time specified on your ticket. They have a fun outdoor waiting area with inflated tents and 90s-style bubble furniture where you can sit. They also have large inflated balls to play around with on the grounds. The attraction itself takes about an hour to get through with about a dozen different rooms. It's easy to spend more time, especially if you are waiting for certain areas to take photos. The first section has large inflatable art pieces with music and colored lights. Next, you pass through a room with inflated dolls that bounce back like punching bags when you hit them. The ball pitt is a highlight. They let about 150 people in the room at a time and you can stay for around 15 minutes. First, everyone files in and finds a spot around the perimeter of the pool of balls. You have to wait for clearance from employees before diving in. The pitt is deep and it's easy to feel like you're "drowning" in the balls, but it's fun. There are color changing lights and orbs that descend from the ceiling, which add to the ambiance. Make sure to zip all pockets and purses as it would be a nightmare to find anything lost in the pitt. In other rooms, you can play with an enormous inflated ball, pop bubbles from a huge bubble machine, and take photos with balloon art. The final section is a VR experience. You put on headsets and are transported through several immersive balloon-inspired fantasy worlds. There is a concession area where you can buy popcorn and doughnuts. You can also buy balloon flowers and souvenirs in the gift shop. Overall, it's a cute experience. Definitely ideal for kids of all ages. If you like taking photos for social media, it's a paradise. Otherwise, it's fun for the novelty but certainly not a must-do.

Cons: -long lines -limited time in black ball pit Pros: -so much to see, hear, and touch! -great for date night and families -Balloons in all forms -the virtual reality, bubbles room, black ball pit, creatures, and ball art are fantastic! -If you like Instagram, there is an area where you can take selfies with beautiful backgrounds. Overall, the BalloonMuseum is such a fun time!

I regret not visiting earlier when it opened, because it was not at its best when I arrived within its last few days. By the time I arrived, it had "weathered." Overall, I thought the "museum" was entertaining and had almost countless photo ops if you didn't mind others in your photos or waiting patiently until you had a split second opportunity to get your shot. The ball pit was a timed large space which afforded play, photos and even a "show." It was one of the best NYC ball pits I have experienced. The VR experience was enjoyable, and piqued my interest in further VR exploration. It was a great connection between the giant balloon world we were exploring physically and the endless possibilities found in the virtual balloon world. In addition to a room filled with photo studio stations, there were many interactive exhibits. I definitely had a good time when I wasn't thinking about how it was possible to sanitize the space between visits.

Not worth the entrance price but it was entertaining at certain points. The interactivity was well thought out from sound to touch to sight. There's a lot of great photo ops. The ball pit was a fun activity if you are part of a group. The VR experience was my fav, it was a 360 experience that brings you to a fantasy land with balloons everywhere. Cons; lots of strobing and flickering lights. Long lines, and some wait even through some of the rooms. There was a lot of people in the photo op rooms.

Went on a Saturday evening around 7:30pm and it was fairly crowded. A pretty cool exhibit. Spent about 1.5 hrs here. The Hyperstellar exhibit was probably the most popular one aside from the exhibit rooms at the end where there were lines just to take pictures. The different exhibits are interesting. They're meant to be interactive and fluid. A bit pricey but expected for a pop up exhibit in NYC. There's a little snack section at the end of the exhibit as well as a small souvenir shop. Overall nice way to spend an evening. Good for date night, night with the girls, family outing with the kids.

This is something that I'd consider a once in a lifetime experience. Not because I couldn't return to NYC to see it again, but really, once you've seen it, you are good. Maybe seeing it at the other locations would be fun at each one is different. I first saw this in Emily in Paris in one of the scenes for the show but actually didn't put any thought into it being a real thing. Once I saw it on an insta page while looking for things to do during our trip, I knew I had to go. The costs of entry are pretty high, and they hike up the price by $15 per adult during the "holiday times," which, of course, was when we were there. It was $130 for two adults, which is definitely the most I've ever paid for a museum entry. But again, given the uniqueness and level of interaction and awesome photos with the exhibits, I was fine with it as a treat for myself while on vacay for my birthday trip. Entry is timed due to the nature of some of the exhibits and to also allow for people to experience everything without being super crowded, which was greatly appreciated. Like all museums and art installations, there are some super awesome and some misses. I loved that you literally emerged into this experience. From being able to be super close and not closed off by ropes to touching and playing within, creating your own experience, it is definitely unique. My favorite part was the smaller boxed sets that were designed for Instagram photos. There were 8 different scenes that everyone could take turns taking their photos without others in the way, you just had to be patient. Admittedly, some people were getting super annoying with the number of pictures they were taking of each exhibit for their 'gram pages, some on top of all the family posed photos. Luckily, you could skip around, and we figured those people out quickly and just jumped in front of them at the next one but knew we could circle back. Plus, we didn't want all of them. I did mention that I thought it would be a good idea to have someone stationed at each one to keep the time for people like they do at many experiences like this like in Chicago, where you get like 90 seconds out of the glass edge and then your off. Naturally, I loved the personalization of the I heart NYC exhibit in which you held up a sign that said NYC. You also have the option to hold up a YOU sign, which my oh so clever boyfriend did for me to take a pictire of him and he instantly turned around and used that is a heart-warming and loving happy birthday post to me (we went the day of and it worked out perfectly for him). My least favorite part was actually the exhibit where you can fully get emerged and into a pool of balls (yes, like the ball puts from our childhoods). It was fine if you were just standing there, but Lord help you if you fell over and were being weighed down by the countless balls in the biggest pit. I am short, so even the shallow pool didn't help as it felt impossible to stand back up, and there are limited number of ladders to get out of the pit. I am not tall enough to just crawl out and not knowing these details I didn't enter in near a ladder, so I had to try to get across an entire section, which was less than fun. Ben was bwing a giant kid and didn't notice that I had took off to try to get out and was struggling. And no help from any of the numerous employees. Another visitor who was there with his wife helped me to get out. Thank you to him. The light show at the end of the timed event was beautiful, but I'd never enter the pit again. The frustration wasn't worth it. The experience was 100% worth it as a one-time deal, but I couldn't imagine having a family with the prices of entry, and really, in my opinion, this is more of an adult experience as kids are either too young to even understand what they are looking at or appreciate the artwork.

They extended this exhibit one day and I was able to snag tickets this exhibit/pop up was really fun. It made my friend and I feel like we were kids again. In each room there were filled with inflatable figures. I really enjoyed the room with the black plastic balls that you can jump in like Chuck E. Cheese or discovery zone. I also enjoyed the roomwith bubbles . There was a room full photo op. However, the lines was very long for some. Do you know this pop-up is gone I'll definitely come back if they were to come to New York City again.

Fun, interactive experience and bonus points for allowing dogs. Pretty expensive but it's a unique exhibit so you get what you pay for.

This was a cool exhibit. I would deff go with kids though. The ball pit is a big hit. They ask you to wear shoe coverings which they provide. At the end of the exhibit they have these little booths with different scenery and they are great for photo moments/ instagram worthy. I am glad I was able to check it out but I won't be going back one last time before it ends. It was crowded but what do you expect! Lines moved pretty quick. They have a snack bar and a balloon bar where you can purchase different styles of balloons. Staff was knowledgeable too.

This place was a fun exhibit. Lots of balloon art and their all pretty trippy. My personal favorite was the pool room because of how interactive it was. The balloon museum is a fun outing i recommend checking it out with friends and family. If you order food from the vendors, you won't be able to bring it inside.

I had a Really fun museum experience. I'm a museum girl so anytime something cool opens up or I stumble across a museum I always make it my business to show up & show out. The balloon show with the ball pit room was one of my favorites. Beautiful & fun. The smoke bubble room was so cool. I Definitely recommend to check this museum out for kids and adults. I Just wish there were more exhibits. But other than that a great time was spent here.

Went on a Friday morning where there was no line at all. It's mostly a photo-op place mixed with installations. The place was huge and will take at least 1 hour to walk through everything. Staff were friendly.

I love love love all everything museums. I was excited to explore this one. Upon our arrival, it was a bit hectic to get there. If you are driving then be prepared for traffic and a lot of unhappy people. I would suggest using public transportation or taking an Uber/tax service. We went on a Saturday afternoon and there were just soooo many kids running around. Workers seemed annoyed but who can blame them, I can't keep count of how many people were there. I think there were almost 10 sections or less of things to view and take pics of. It was just underwhelming for the price we had paid, I had expected... more. This is a place for pics and all of the influencers to go to. My favorite part was the ball pit as it was just a vibe. It would be way better without kids to be honest lol. If you have the money to splurge, I would recommend. The entire experience is about an hour long give or take.

    Long line for exhibit 5.

I'm trying to visit on January 18 but the dates on the calendar to purchase only show the 10-15. does that mean the 18 isn't available or am i only able to purchase the week of?

The Balloon Museum is only in NYC until January 14th per Google, but maybe they added one more day. It started in October. When I looked for December dates, it showed the entire month so I am sure they are wrapping up.

    Is there parking?

We did see a parking sign as we walked up to the entrance, but per their website, it advises they do not have private parking. I think it said it was "pier parking." I can not remember the price, though, sorry. Remember that right now, until… Read more

The Frick Collection/Museum is a nice, albeit unspectacular experience. It's on a smaller scale than other ones I've done, taking about 1 hour to do. For the size, it seemed a little overpriced ($30), and the staff seemed disorganized getting our tour group through the check-in process. This is also the only museum/gallery I've been to that didn't allow pictures to be taken of the works and/or in the galleries. It can get a little congested, and there is staff in each room, almost stink-eying you as you look at the pieces, and standing there like Secret Service Agents. It was a little off-putting. Because it's also technically a mansion/house, most of the pieces don't have information displayed, and you have to download the app/audio guide to know what you're looking at. Overall, this is probably a 3.5-3.75, but you know the drill with Yelp and half/quarter stars. Normally, I'd round up, but in this case, I'm rounding down due to the staff. While not rude, the check-in process could've and should've been more organized, and the staff eye-balling people looking at the works wasn't something that projects a welcoming environment. I understand the security issue(s), but don't be so robotic.

My kids spent hours here. The ball pool kindof smelled like poop. Not gonna lie, it was definitely a stinky spot. There was a sign nearby that explained the balls were disinfected by some type of filtration system. Okay! Regardless of the poop smell, we all had a great time! And used lots of hand sanitizer afterwards.

My son enjoyed the room with the led lights hanging from the ceiling, creating a rain of light effect. He was mesmerized by lights falling down and up and then side to side at the same time. He didn't want to leave the room and just watched in awe. The entire experience for us was about an hour. A nice break to get yourself recharged for the day.

During my visit, they were running the Maestros and the Machines themed experience. Overall, it was just okay. There were definitely more rooms than I had expected, which was a nice surprise, but I wouldn't say the experience was worth the price. I was lucky to get the bogo deal which made it more worth it. There were a couple of highlights like the ball pit and especially the room with the sand like mateial. Those moments really brought out the child in myself. Unfortunately, a lot of the other rooms felt underwhelming. The 4D room, didn't live up to its expectation. Another downside was the lack of staff engagement. It didn't seem like they were paying much attention or enforcing any of the rules. For example, visitors were supposed to wear shoe covers in certain areas, but many people didn't and the staff didn't seem to care at all. Overall, it had a few fun moments, but I left feeling like it didn't quite live up to the hype.

From outside you can see the Morgan home building- one of the remaining Gilded Age mansions. The atrium entrance is beautiful with lots of natural light and soaring ceilings. A coat check and cafe are located in the atrium entrance. Bathrooms are on the lower level. The cafe has wine, charcuterie and other snacks. Musicians play in the atrium. It is a very fun atmosphere. The library in comparison is small. Two levels of books line the walls. JP Morgan's desk and chairs are on display. Several books including the Gutenberg Bible are displayed in glass cases. The room also has a huge fireplace. The museum also has changing exhibits. We saw a cool exhibit on the Book of Psalms and another on Renoir's drawings. Both were interesting! Walking to the gift shop, you can see the foyer entrance to the Morgan house. The house is not open to the public. The gift shop had some unique items as well as typical gift shop items. I'm so happy I went to see the library!

She also became, for a time, the highest paid woman in America. The Library and Museum entry fee is a bit expensive for those less familiar with this story, or frankly, those hoping for either a full and circulating library like the nearby NY Public Library (with its iconic lions) or a massive museum like several throughout NYC. That said, this place is a delight for folks like me who are interested in the history and lives of the Gilded Age robber barons in the City. The Library is housed in JP's mansion, with only the gorgeous rotunda at the original entrance, and the rooms that house the Library open to the public. While much of the library collection is in inaccessible to visitors and stored in stunning shelves and cases behind glass, many of the jewels Morgan acquired are on view for a closer look. Also on view on the main level are several sculptures, important musical scores (some acquired after Morgan's death - the Museum trustees use that high entry fee for acquisitions and preservation), small but important items from the ancient world, and a gorgeously decorated massive fireplace. The building expansion houses traveling and temporary art installations, many of which are consistent with Morgan's tastes in collecting. There's a lovely café behind the current first floor entry space, and a room with (generally) more contemporary artists being exhibited. Special exhibits are mostly upstairs and often include works with a religious theme (Bibles and psalters from many religious traditions and in many languages; a Caravaggio, Bellini and Perugino show; and other kinds of things like Renoir's drawings; music-themed exhibits; and one on story-telling through the centuries. The wonderful gift shop is also on the upper floor. We loved touring the Library and Museum, but for those who aren't sure yet, stop by on Friday for 5-8pm, when admission is free. You may even find yourself willing to visit a second time!

The building itself is gorgeous with a clean, modern look, with outdoor terraces on multiple floors. They give you awesome views of the city, the Hudson River, and the Meatpacking District below. Even if art isn't really your thing, the vibe and the views alone make it worth the trip. The exhibits change pretty often, so there's usually something new to check out each time you go. The collection focuses on American artists and mixes paintings, photos, sculptures, video stuff, and more experimental pieces. Some exhibits get pretty abstract or conceptual, but that mix is exactly what keeps things interesting. We loved that even though the museum is popular, it never felt like a madhouse. The galleries are spacious enough to take your time, and the staff were friendly and happy to answer questions. Location is another huge win. After you're done, you can easily walk the High Line, explore Chelsea, or grab a bite nearby. It's a great piece of a full day out in that area. All in all, the Whitney is a fantastic museum experience, modern, well-curated, and easy to enjoy whether you're a contemporary art nerd or just looking for a nice cultural pit stop in NYC.
