I've been wanting a new, interior sign for 3 years but kept putting it off bc signage is expensive,…read morethen covid hit, then etc...but I finally decided to inquire about an interior sign this year. It took me 7 long months of failed attempts with 3 businesses (1 that I previously worked with and 2 who came highly recommended) before I came across JLS Design and Graphics. I called and left a voicemail and received a prompt response. From then on, all correspondence was via email (which is what I preferred). I sent him my logo, a photo/dimensions of the area I wanted to display the sign, and asked for his recs. His recommendation was spot-on and captured my vision perfectly. The mock up was beautiful, pricing was extremely fair, and the sign came and was installed exactly 3 weeks after I placed the order. My sign is BEAUTIFUL, exactly what I wanted, and perfect quality. (I'm a stickler for detail and there was not one single smudge, dent, or nick on the sign.) Omar and another gentleman (I didn't catch his name) were quick to install the sign and were happy to make adjustments until I was 100% satisfied. I'm so pleased with the sign and my entire experience with JLS. Thank you, Jerry, Omar, and team! My only regret is not working with Jerry sooner, and for every sign.

It was the first day that the pool was open, and I went with a friend and his son. As a former…read moreresident of this neighborhood, I had been to this pool in the past. The pool is pretty straightforward (lap lanes, deep end, low board, slide like you might see in a McDonald's play area, kiddie pool, sun chairs, picnic tables, and concession area). My primary complaints about the pool would be: 1) They are only open from Memorial Day to Labor Day. The weather in Colorado is such that the pool should really be open at least a month longer on either end of the season. This seems to be tied to an old-fashioned model of cheap summer labor. But, with most teens having to go back to school in mid-August these days, why follow this model? 2) They kick all the kiddies out of the pool once an hour. I assume this is for safety reasons (to check for dead bodies, etc), and that is all well and good. But, they do not just kick them out for 5 minutes, or even 10, but for a full 15 minutes. This is an eternity to an 8-year old who just wants to get back in the water.

LITERALLY THE WORST PLACE TO PRINT!!!…read more So, the first time I printed a workbook I'm creating, they said the size was wrong and couldn't print it. I'm like can't you fix that out with your equipment? I haven't printed a whole lot at a pro-printing place, so I wasn't sure what they were capable of. However, they stated they could not. At that time it wasn't really a big deal, so I was like okay no problem, let's just fit-to-page it's just a BW tech print, I just need to see it printed all together vs scrolling endless pages in Canva. No big deal. However, I asked for the correct size so that I can fix it for the future. Honestly, I thought this was the Universe helping me take care of it now vs later. I had only googled A4 pixels and I thought that I had it correct. We talked about it at length and they gave me the pixels of 2550 x 3300. We discussed it a little bit further since that was literally double the size of the current document, the person I spoke to assured me this was correct for A4, and so I got the BW print, then spent nearly 2 weeks reformatting the entire document to this new size. Then another month or so finishing the workbook. I later came back to get a full color print to see what it actually looks like and to my surprise, again they tell me the size is wrong and they will have to print "fit to page". As you can imagine I was instantly angry. However, as I don't have two weeks to reformat I asked them to go ahead and print, and please reflect the correction of this whole situation in the price.. However, when I went to pick up the book, not only was it nearly double ($175) what I was quoted last time I was there ($97), but they did not reflect their mistake in the price and then tried to blame it on me!! Telling me how it's not their responsibility to advise how to properly size a document and how their fees don't reflect whether or not the document is correct, but how many pages it is and if it is color or black-and-white SERIOUSLY!? You are a professional printer, who better then to tell me how to size a document? Should I ask a bricklayer? Or a baker instead? As you can imagine at this point, I was completely flabbergasted, and quite frankly disgusted. So I paid $175 for a workbook that was incorrect due to their incorrect advice. And this time it wasn't even like a normal fit to page with just a tiny little bit of white around the edges. It was massively wrong like nearly half an inch all the way around and nearly an inch at the bottom so... I can't even really tell what this looks like. It's a complete waste of money. Honestly it was probably correct the first time and they just don't know what they're doing! Not only will I not print the other 10 FC samples that I wanted to print, but I will never ever print anything there again and I don't advise anyone else to either.

The got us in touch with David, and he's been a pleasure to work with. He came to our home a few days later to give us a price for his service, and he had 4 sketches ready within 5 days. Then we got back to him with a modified version with all our favorite parts of his ideas about a week later, which he finished off and gave us 5 sets of prints for bidding. He's done whole home architecture, modern, arts and crafts, and traditional, and from what we saw, we really liked his versions of all of them. Also, what he charges is more than worth it. He included making 5 sets prints for bidding, and he even went to the city to pull the permit with me! He's also willing to help pick out colors and tiles. (you can call him to discuss pricing, but when I told one of the contrators the price, they thought it was a no brainer) From a cost perspective, having finished plans and then bidding them out to multiple contractors will save us over $6000! We have not decided which construction company to use yet, but being able to have multiple bids based on a set of finished plans (including electrical and demo) really does help. David is very easy to work with, and he's very open to making it look like what you want. Hiring an architect will not only save you money, but will also ensure your project comes out looking great (if the builder follows the plans).
