We booked Balloon Affair for a grand opening event a week before we needed the balloon arch, we were nervous that it was going to be too short of a notice but Gina was very helpful and made it all happen! Their products look great, but the service is AWFUL! I spoke with Louise, after much effort on my part since they were "very busy" and told her what my balloon desires were for my event. She was really into it and had some additional ideas too. She said she would get me a quote in a week. I called back a week and a half later, two and a half weeks later, four weeks later... Heard nothing from them ever again! I also emailed multiple times with no response. Wtf! read more

I had the same problem as previous Yelper. First I filled out the contact form on their website, no response. So I called, no answer. So I decided to just show up to the address listed which is her garage the owner works out of, luckily I caught her when she was home. We actually had a very good consultation which is why I assumed it would all work out. We talked about my order, what I wanted and by when etc everything seemed set, asked best way to get a hold of her since it was difficult initially. Got her cell and said I'll be texting her to confirm order after I spoke with my husband. Well, I texted her placing my order and didn't hear back. Next day again following up with confirming my order. Nothing. A week later no response. I was literally giving her my business and she didn't follow through. Thankfully I found Ana's Balloon Creations and she got back to me ASAP, worked with my budget, and we set my order right away. Good luck getting good customer service and reliability with Balloon Affair but I'd suggest Ana's Balloon Creation and save yourself a headache! read more

I wanted to send balloons to my daughter for her birthday. She's a freshman at UC Santa Barbara; her first time away from home on her birthday. I found Balloon Affair on Yelp and spoke to Gina, who was friendly, helpful and efficient. We discussed colors, what to say on the card & the price. We then arranged for a dozen balloons to be delivered to my daughter's dorm at 9:30am on the special day. After hanging up with Gina I decided to rewrite what would be said on the card and called back that evening after hours. Gina returned my call minutes later and was very sweet about making the change. The balloons were delivered at exactly 9:30am on the correct day, with the correct card, and my daughter was delighted to receive them. First of all I can't believe I'm the first one to leave a yelp review for the amazing Gina, The owner of Balloon Affair... She is definitely the best kept secret in the balloon world! Back in July I was looking for A combination of underwater/sea/mermaid themed balloons. It was for a last-minute celebration on the beach, so when I got into town I hit up all the regular spots, but I could not find anything that wasn't from either "the little mermaid" movie or some other kind of cartoon character looking balloons... So when I looked up "balloon affair" I dialed the number and explained to the nice lady what I was looking for, she told me to head on over and when I got there she had laid out some pretty incredibly beautiful options for me to chose from, I grabbed them all, including gorgeous seashells, sea stars, Dolphins etc. Gino was kind helpful and worked fast within my budget! I just went back today and although it's was a last minute order and she was very busy, she squeezed me in and I couldn't be happier! read more
