Really enjoyed my stay here. Family run place and people here are quite nice and helpful. Rooms are quaint and spacious. Restaurant at the hotel is exceptional so even if you don't stay here come and try the restaurant. Ask for a tour of the castle ruins on the hill. This review is only for the castle itself. We stayed at the Gentian Cottage up the road and the owner of the cottage and the castle, Ann O'Callaghan, gave us a private tour of the castle and grounds. It was quite fascinating with interesting architecture, history, and incredible views. Ann couldn't have been nicer or more fun either so that was just icing on the cake! read more

Recently stayed with a large group of family. Hotel is very quaint and authentic. The views are great. We got a tour of the castle from the owner. It is family run and the people are great and very accommodating. It is not walking distance from anything but the food in the restaurant was great and they have a fun little bar to enjoy a pint. we really enjoyed it and wouldn't hesitate to go back. read more
