He was friendly, polite and full of very helpful information (and drove a pretty cool truck). Did you know that a lot of the expensive, more well known system manufacturers have their own generic/off brand units with the same internal parts but different grade outer housings? I didn't. Good stuff. He even took the time to explain how our system worked and what likely happened. Later that same day I was presented a quote that contained 3 different units with an assortment of SEER ratings and prices. Here's the part where you can boo me... I didn't end up going with his company, even though they have an awesome reputation for professionalism and great service. It was simply a product choice and I went with a Carrier brand system. Based on my experience with them, I highly recommend you call them if you have any heating/AC needs!!

We called The CrawlSpace King and they came right out and determined that the areas in the yard that were wet and damaged were due to the drain lines from the down spouts. They came out when they said they would, worked hard, and left the place clean. You could hardly tell they had been there once they replaced the existing sod!! I highly recommend The Crawlspace King and his crew! Our Heat unit went out on the day before Christmas Eve, this company was very responsive to our…read moreneeds in the beginning. I had to call them back because the unit wasn't running correctly, upon inspection the tech stated that he was going to recommend replacing the unit, due to the age of the unit. and it was apparently losing Freon. He came back to the house and pressure tested the unit under the house and stated that there was a definite leak. He left a message, that they were going to replace the coil under the house. I asked them if they performed the same test to the outside unit, he informed me that he didn't and that this couldn't be done, so my question is how was it known that this was the only leak in the 19 year old system. I asked him if he told the home warranty company that it would require replacement, and he told me that the warranty company would make me pay for out of pocket modifications to the tune of possibly a $1,000.00 and possible more. I told the tech that I had platinum coverage and that the system shouldn't require modification that would even come close to this figure. I asked him if he had worked up that quote..... His response was no, then how do you know the price of the modifications? I spoke again to my warranty company and they advised that the tech or company told them that the system was checked inside and out and that this was there determination that it was the inside coil only that needed replacement..... Then you lied to me when you were asked if you pressure tested the system, you told me that it wasn't performed, but you tell the warranty company that it was. I don't appreciate being lied to, if what I asked of hi would have been done this wouldn't even be an issue right now, however I think this is the companies way of getting every Nickle and dime they can without having to replace the unit, which was the initial statement from the tech after checking the unit. I hate writing reviews on companies, I would prefer to leave good reviews for outstanding service, however, this time I won't because, I don't like being lied to. Bottom line, don't tell me that the unit needs to be replaced and then tell the warranty company a totally different story, this was just poor business, poor work ethic and bad practice. I don't even want to use them now, because I don't trust them. And before its said that I'm no AC tech, and they are. I have a relative that had advised me on this, and they are a certified AC tech. I didn't want them doing anything to the unit because I didn't want to mess up my warranty coverage, I also don't want to be charged several times for faulty issues from not performing the correct testing of the indoor as well as the outside unit. Way to go. I hope that nobody else has this experience, it hasn't been a pleasant one.
