Being that it is always desolate down there we would never feel safe enough to leave our daughter alone to go to the bathroom by herself. Additionally, once Covid-19 struck and our state shut down, we politely asked the owner, Kathleen, to put a hold on our tuition as we allowed our daughter to participate in one Zoom class which was a total disaster. We were charged for an hour's class (no Discounted rate either as this was an online class versus in person) which turned out to be 40 minutes total, most of which time the owner had to shoo her dog out of the room or her husband kept interrupting her. The other part of the time she just had everybody show their houses and where they were and talked nonsense basically. The actual instruction time was about 15 minutes only, if that, of which the owner couldn't even see my daughter in the camera. I personally witnessed the entire class. Our daughter was so upset she didn't want to participate any longer. When we asked Kathleen, the owner, to put our tuition on hold, she replied by saying that if she put everyone's tuition on hold she wouldn't make any money. We asked her several times and every time she refused. We even explained how the Zoom session was a total disaster to which she denied. Kathleen is the worst business owner in our opinion that we have ever encountered and we will never recommend her to anyone.

This is a very good dance school if you want your child to be part of a competition dance troupe…read more My daughter has taken dance classes at other dance schools and we always expected the recital to be around 2-2.5 hours long. This dance school was the exception as their recital lasted over 3.5 hours and was followed by 20 minute speeches from various adults thanking everybody, then followed up by handing out individual awards to students on stage. We arrived at the recital at 3:30pm (show started at 4pm) and finally got in our car at 8pm. There was a 15 min intermission in order to stretch our legs and get the circulation moving again. The recital consisted of 52 dance performances. Out of the 52 performances about 30 if not more of them were performed by their competition dance troupe. The dance troupe did a beautiful job, and they all are very talented dancers. It was a joy to watch them dance from large groups, small groups and individual dances. Not sure why they needed to perform over 30 different dances as they should have performed a lot less in order to give us a preview of what they are all about. I also found out during the show, my daughter did not get to see any of the performances as she was sitting in a room and watching a movie with her group.

My child has flourished in this studio; Miss Beth, Miss Alyssa, and the other teachers love the students like their own children, and I have always felt welcomed as part of their dance family. Miss Patti in the office is fantastic, as well, and we love seeing Mimi! My child has learned so much about teamwork from Miss Beth, and the support and mentoring provided by the older dancers has been an inspiration to us. We started with basic ballet and within a few years she was training in Classical, Contemporary & briefly Hip-hop and tap (Hey it's not her thing!) being taught by a Rockette, current and former ballerinas and performing up to 3 times a year is something that can't be replicated because the instructors are the best and truly care for their dancers. When I went to pick my daughter up in the classroom where she stayed during the recital i was told that "she went with somebody she was happy to see" the person who is "supposedly" watching her could not even tell me whether it was a male or female that picked my daughter up which just shows that this so called "guardian" was lying.
