By chance, I read about The Telegram Girl and the services they provided and decided to give them a try - what a positive experience! My initial contact with The Telegram Girl was via email and within less than an hour I received a detailed response - I was very impressed with the response time and their willingness to handle all of my special requests. That same day we spoke on the phone and all details were finalized and contract completed - a very smooth transaction. My main need was to have one of the members of The Telegram Girl's team dress up as David Byrne and sing "Burning Down The House" - the guest of honor's favorite song. No problem at all! In total, I booked 4 singers from The Telegram Girl to sing at the party - Freddie Mercury (singing "Another Year Bites The Dust"), David Byrne (singing "Burning Down The House"), Dorothy (singing "Over The Rainbow"), and The Scarecrow (singing "If Only I Had A Brain"). At the party, The Telegram Girl team of singers arrived on time and the fun started. Everyone was so surprised! Each singer did a great job with not only their singing but also interacting with the guests and the guest of honor. I could not have been happier with their promptness, personalities, and professionalism - well worth every penny. If you're looking to add a little fun to your next event, then give The Telegram Girl a try. I know I will be using them again when the occasion arises. Thanks again to The Telegram Girl for helping me pull off a great party!

Even after the performance, people were hanging around just to look at the theater and take it all in. Staff eventually had to usher people out because no one wanted to leave. I arrived a little late because I went to the wrong venue, and the staff was incredibly kind and calm about it. They walked me to my seat between sets and made it totally stress free. Everyone I interacted with was friendly and professional. The place is clean and very well maintained. One thing to watch out for is seat selection. In the balcony, some seats have a pole partially blocking the view of the stage, which is frustrating if you do not realize it ahead of time. Definitely double check before buying. I loved the live subtitles for the opera. Such a thoughtful touch and makes the whole experience much more accessible. The chandeliers are gorgeous, the atmosphere feels grand but not stuffy, and the whole night felt special. Fully worth the money and I would absolutely come back.

It was a delight to see that so many local women were involved and their stories are reflected in this play today. I am happy to get the Playbill souvenir and a SUFFS pin. THE STAFF WAS VERY NICE. I'm very grateful to the sweet people working here. From the theater, attendants, concession snack stand, security, box office, merchandise, and the restrooms too. My chocolate chip cookie was yummy. Everybody's very kind and hard-working. It was an absolutely wonderful time in this beautiful theater. It was my first time to be in the theater and it's very beautiful. The set design was quite exciting. The seats were very comfortable. And I'm very glad that there was parking in a garage very close to this theater!

Great venue, beautiful building, and helpful, friendly staff make this a place I'll enjoy visiting again in the future. I got a GA pit (standing room only) ticket--not the VIP version, where you get into the show early and have first chance at getting a spot by the barricade. I'm old enough that it's almost always necessary for me to take a bathroom break at some point during the show, so barricade isn't what I was looking for, and hanging at the back of the pit offers easy access to an exit that gets you right to the bathroom or one of the bars. The people who work here are really cool, gave me directions to things like the correct entrance and bathroom, and the people selling alcohol and merch were also very friendly. Security was constantly handing out cups of water to the audience members at the barricade, to keep anyone from dehydrating. Sound is very good at the Met, and it's just a fun atmosphere for a loud rock or pop show. I don't think they offer much in the way of food (go to Hygge Bar or Libertee beforehand for dinner) but did see some folks with large boxes of popcorn. One thing I would suggest for people attending a concert like this, with a GA standing area, is--if you're getting a seat and want to be close up, keep in mind that the people standing in GA are going to be in your sightline. There's no avoiding it. For a show like this, just about everyone in the audience is on their feet anyway (how could you SIT DOWN for Pinkpantheress, right?), so maybe it wasn't an issue, but I felt for those folks in the first couple of rows, because I knew those of us in GA were blocking their view, forcing them to stand up, whether or not they wanted to.

WHAT?! How have I not reviewed you??!??…read more Okay, bear with me. Could the venue have more amenties? Sure. Could the ingress and throughways inside be managed better when the crowd is sardines in a can? Sure. Can every experience in life be "more" or "better" if we're being extra picky, eventually turning those same experiences into a sterile, "will never offend anyone," suburb-coded "I come into the city once in a while for a good show but I hate the parking situation" experience? Yes. But not the the TLA, no. The TLA is Philly as hell. It's not there to give you extra-wide seats or a pinky off the champagne glass kind of vibe. It's there to be affordable. It's there to connect you with all sorts of different people there to see the same great show. And it's there to remind you that sometimes, sticky sweaty is the way to go. In the TLA, we're rawdogging sweaty air and great acts. It's where you go to see the acts that come through town where everyone who shows up REALLY wanted to show up - the performers because they're not stadium famous, and the attendees because they love those same performers all up in their bones. Things might be tight in the venue, but there's always room for fun and dancing.
