Während der vordere rustikale Gastraum an den bescheidenen Lebensstil der Cajuns erinnert, erinnert unser mit Tageslicht überfluteter Wintergarten an das herrschaftliche Leben der Kreolen. Von hier aus entdecken sie unsere Mississippi-Stube mit seinem bestechendem Wandgemälde. Im Innenhof liegt unser ruhiger Biergarten der bis zu 90 Personen zum entspannen und wohlfühlen einlädt. Das "Louisiana" besticht durch nuancenreiche Kreolische und Cajun Gerichte in den verschiedensten Variationen. Nicht ohne Grund zählen wir zu den beliebtesten Lokalen der Stadt und auch Gäste aus den Südstaaten loben die Authentizität. Beliebt sind unsere Varianten an Steaks die wir gerne nach ihren Wünschen zubereiten. Unsere Spare-Ribs, Fisch- und Geflügelgerichte mit den typisch kreolischen Soßen werden sehr gerne angenommen. Eines unserer Highlights ist der sonntägliche Brunch von 10.oo - 14.oo Uhr. I needn't have worried, it was exactly where I left it, but a bit bigger than I remembered. We popped in for an afternoon coffee and cake to start with, and it was as expected - excellent. I had a cappuccino and a walnut tart, which was a bit like walnut/treacle tart - delicious. Hubby had apple cake with the mother and father of hot chocolates - imagine - a dark chocolate drink infused with muscat, ginger and cinnamon - after he recovered his socks, he had a big grin on his face. We went back this morning for breakfast, and I stuck to the excellent croissant, with butter and home-made confit (you can't call it jam), with freshly squeezed orange juice, and followed by a fresh fruit salad. Hubby had the bread basket (home-made bread). We snaffled a couple of pieces of the walnut/treacle tarty thing, which is at this moment sitting in our fridge calling to me. Sometimes I wish I lived in Erfurt, but, waistlines considered, it's probably just as well I don't.
