I have never written an on-line review but am more than happy to break my record following my…read morerecent experience with Dr. Sean Freeman and his extremely impressive staff at The Center for Plastic Facial Surgery in Charlotte, North Carolina. I am a gay professional man living in Honolulu, Hawaii and just turned 65. I live a great life but was unhappy with my appearance on several fronts. I had upper eye lid surgery which eliminated my "about to go to sleep" look and expanded my vision by at least 15%. At the same time, I had a procedure to remove under-eye bags which I felt aged me. Both procedures went well but unfortunately the lower procedure left very dark bruises under each eye which were not getting better with time and expensive topical treatments. Both my well-respected eye surgeon and dermatologist in Honolulu told me there was nothing further "medical procedures" could offer me. To add insult to injury, my dermatologist sent in an assistant to counsel me on makeup tips I would need to utilize for the remainder of my life. That was not for me. Around this time two of my closest friends originally from the Charlotte area told me about Dr. Freeman. Each had great results with his specific techniques using CO2 laser resurfacing. Although I was extremely nervous, I trusted their judgements. This was my best self-care decision ever! From my very first encounter with the staff of The Center for Facial Plastic Laser Surgery, to my first Zoom meeting with Dr. Freeman and throughout the in-person process, Dr. Freeman and his entire team could not have been better. Each person I dealt with was extremely professional, informative and simply an absolute pleasure. The process was fairly painless; I achieved noticeable improvements every day and my end results are even better than expected. In addition to eliminating my dark under eye bruises, Dr. Freeman also removed old chicken pox and acne scars on my cheeks and a scar on my nose that had bothered me since childhood. I also feel like my appearance is 10+ years younger than my age and my self-confidence is better than ever. I highly recommend Dr. Freeman and The Center for Facial Plastic Laser Surgery to anyone considering any facial procedures. After I was at the office, they informed me that they don't accept my insurance and I may be responsible for 100% of the cost of the surgery! Waste of my time and theirs!! This should all be checked prior to arrival!! Also (this is little) but everyone sends appointment confirmations now and I got nothing from them (no phone call, no text, no email). I had to call them to make sure I had the right day and time, and to confirm the address. Would be nice for them to reach out to me.

He was present in operating room on day of surgery he was suppose to place my tissue expanders after his wife had finished her part. It was not done I was told surgery it self took to long. So after chemo (again) and radiation I followed back up with him and this time during office visit he told me I had to wait 6 months. So upon after waiting 6 months to heal from radiation I followed back up with him. Had to take my clothes off and put on a robe just for him too come in there and say that he would have to check with my Medicaid plan to make sure he was in the network and that they may not cover . Which was the first time I was made aware of this. This was 3rd time I was in his office. ????does he charge for appointment through my Medicaid??? He was there with his wife, my surgeon on the day of surgery was he going to do my reconstruction free of charge then?!? No changes in Medicaid had been made on my end so apparently he thinks he is too good to work on reconstruction patients that receive Medicaid. It is state law that Medicaid got to pay for reconstruction that I know. After all I have been through I don't need anyone wasting my time and straight up lying to me. This is not a good man. No morals.

I like that she is a plastic surgeon and not just a PA or nurse who has gone to some training sessions to learn to inject fillers. Dr. Ashley is very direct and will tell you what you need (which is not always what you thought you wanted). I trust her expertise and have not been disappointed with the results. Yes, there is some pain but it's mostly just tiny pinches and it only lasts a few seconds. I try to schedule my appointments either late in the day or on my day off in case there is any swelling. You can return to work the following day without your coworkers noticing you had something done (they just think you look refreshed). Everyone in the office is so nice and you can call in with your questions and they're happy to answer them. Follow them on Instagram to see before and after pics!

He will do whatever he can to make sure that his patients walk out feeling and looking good. His entire staff is friendly, welcoming, and patient.
