I initially thought about getting one of the rice dishes, but I saw someone else's and it didn't look particularly inspiring. Instead, I went with the soup of the day, which was a lentil soup. It was warm but somewhat bland (as I find tends to be the case with soup just about anywhere, sadly). I also ordered a side of bolani without the yogurt sauce, and I am pleased to report that it was tasty... just as I've always remembered bolani to be.

The person working (the owner?) was a very friendly man, though he did seem a bit overwhelmed with the lunch rush. Very vegetarian friendly, though not overly so for vegans. Fridays and Saturdays are also when you can get the Maultaschen, which are supposed to be great. Overall, I think it's a good place to grab a light snack, particularly if you've not had Afghan food before.
