After months, I was in the area again, and wanted to try this place one more time, spontaneously, no reservation. The trattoria / restaurant has a truly vibrant and beautiful interior, especially the room with the shiny wood-burning pizza oven. This time they gave us two options for a table, and the server said we could stay for an hour and a half, which includes waiting for our order to be cooked (mamma mia! zielona pietruszka!). I chose a seat with a beautiful view of my sister against the wine wall:). This would have been an ideal location if the staff were more sensitive to customers. Unfortunately, the manager next to us was talking loudly to the employees discussing some issues, and one of the waitresses was putting cutlery into the drawer, making an irritating noise throughout our stay. They acted like we weren't even there. O well. We waited for our food longer than we expected while our 1.5 hour clock ticked away. The Pizza Parma was good. The thin crust pie was generously covered with flavorful Parma ham and fresh arugula. It is always a perfect combination. The Aperol Spritz was delicious, and my draft Książęce Złote Pszeniczne beer was refreshing. Both drinks are quite popular lately in Kraków. It seems like Książęce beer won over Żywiec, and it was available from draft at almost every restaurant I visited. Książęce beer is produced by the Tyskie brewery. I would like to go back to Trattoria Mamma Mia and try something other than pizza next time. Making a reservation is a good idea. Let's not forget this.

The pita served alongside was so soft and warm. For the main, I tried the chicken tagine and enjoyed it thoroughly. The blend of spices was fragrant and flavorful. I find the other drinks (both alcoholic and non-alcoholic) overpriced and not all that great in general. Also while the list of shisha flavours might seem extensive you should just ask the staff about which ones they actually have in at the moment to quickly narrow down your choices. The pear, caramelized walnuts, honey, gorgonzola, white sauce and mozzarella is always a delightful combination. I don't order mixed drinks often, but the moment and the place felt right, so why not. The prices on the menu were rather high for the Polish reality. Later, I thought our food was definitely overpriced for what we got. Not only did our order arrive nearly an hour after we placed it, but it looked more like flatbread pizza rather than a regular pie. It was okay food for a late snack, but the pear was cut paper thin, some nuts were burnt and the whole thing was too sweet because there was too much honey. Its size was also much smaller than the pizzas we usually get from other places. Drinks? I'm not sure. We tasted our cocktails trying to figure out whether there was any alcohol in it. I tried Pornstar Martini for the first time. Our server told me to pour the shot of Prosecco, served alongside, into the glass, so everything is mixed together. In our case, it wasn't a big deal, but for the first time ever, it wasn't my camera that "ate" first. My final thoughts? You'd better have a thick wallet if you plan on bringing a date here. In the end, all you can do is hope that the food and drinks turn out to be just as wonderful as you expected. We had a great time catching up with my friend, no regrets. Check their menu, breakfasts could be worth trying. Like I already mentioned, the restaurant is very pretty with comfortable seats and a relaxing vibe.
