Sorry Alona you don't come even close to Boracay Whitebeach or their sand boardwalk. Here at Alona the sand is full of broken sea shells especially at the shadow water line. They need to have a sand sweeper here to regularly remove debris from the sand like they do in Botacay. I was staying at Henann Alona resort and they maintained the section of the beach as private with beach chairs you can use, which I didn't see any on the other side of the beach. I would say go to the Ocenana Resort , they take care of the beach there much better at that place and offer beach chairs, drinks and food to eat for a day fee.

Although, the strip of the beach is very small with restaurants and the sort accommodating most of the beach area. No place to really even rent a chair so bring a beach towel. Then it was hard to really enjoy it because you have people walking around constantly trying to sell you fruit, massages, and the sort. Rent a moto or take a TukTuk to South Palms Resort and thank me later. While yes it's a resort, the beach is public. They don't harass you either about sitting on their chairs. You are encouraged to buy something but it's not obligated. Plus it's quieter compared to Alona Beach.

Whites & Greens Beach Resort…read more My family has a friend who suggested we'd stay at this beach resort. We originally had a place to stay but the friend really insisted we'd stay here because that friend knows someone can book us for 2 nights. So we gave in and said sure. My sisters and I were hesitant because of reading the reviews and it only has 3 stars. I searched pictures online and it showed just the bedrooms and I thought it wasn't that bad. We came in to the resort thinking it would be great but it honestly wasn't. Tired from our trip because after having a delayed flight and two hours later it cancelled; of course our patience were out of reach, we thought that our rooming situation was good but it turned out not to be We thought we would have a big room or two rooms to accomodate 7 people, that is a walking distance to the beach. But I don't know what happened. We did get a room but we couldn't fit all of us. So we made it work. I honestly was ready to go home. It seriously was the worst beach resort I've ever stayed in. Let me tell you our bedroom situation. In a room there are 2 beds. One has a stain and the other doesn't. Let's just say my dad slept on the floor. We got annoyed and fustrated at each other due to the situation we were stuck into and it was too late to complain to the front desk because it was already 1 am. So we just freakin dealt with it. The bed frame is freakin dusty. There are molds on the walls and bathroom curtain, molds on the ceiling and looks like it is about to collapse, ants on the bathroom wall, the toilet is just where the shower is that runs cold and slow water. Like what the heck kinda resort is this?! Taking a shower disgusted me. Looking at the dirty molded walls and toilet like what the heck. I later was just looking at the ants and following where they end up going and I think I destroyed its colony so a lot of them bursted out of the cracked walls. I was curious to know and they evacuated. Lol There was just one blanket and one (stained) towel given. We showered with no towel to dry ourselves. There's a tv with two remotes both of which its batteries died, 1 light bulb out, a small fridge, and a small table with two chairs To give a star? Sure. 1 star.. for a working Air Conditioner This resort should be shut down too, the same as they shut down Borocay Resort. It needs extra cleaning and renovation. Oh since there was no nearby parking, we had to walk 10 mins with all our luggages to the resort Beach resort? More like a freakin motel.. The wifi doesn't even freakin work! Room 10 . Right when we checked out, I think we had a refund. Room 13 - the shower doesn't work

Thank you bluewater maribago for a great week in Cebu! Upon arrival it was happy hour (everyday…read more4-7) at the oyster bar so it was BOGO for cocktails and domestic beers. Overall we had a great experience at this resort, we checked in and they brought our bags to the room that were nicely AC'd, had a mini fridge, purified water, tea, and instant coffee along with a kettle. There's 3 pools and private beach access, not much more you can ask for! The main restaurant is allegro, which is a buffet, but you can order items a la carte. If you choose when booking, you can have it so breakfast is included with your room, which we did and I highly recommend doing. The breakfast buffet is great! Many Filipino, American, and other Asian food options. I didn't go for lunch and went once for dinner, it's about $23 and it was the Cebu food fest night, I think I would've preferred going on a normal night and I don't think it was really worth the price. We didn't checkout their seafood restaurant, which is over the water so can't speak for that. We loved the staff, they were so nice and attentive and we took a picture with our main bartender on our last night! The resort did their best to make sure we had the best trip possible and I would recommend this resort if you're looking for a place to stay in mactan-Cebu.

We paid to have breakfast included and it was a nice buffet style with local options as well as typical "American" breakfast items. We also ate in the main restaurant (desserts were amazing), had room service a couple times, and had several drinks and meals at the pool area. The service staff is very friendly and professional. The beach area is clean, however the water is very shallow and the tide goes out quite far leaving not the best view until it returns. Sunrise is amazing right over the water. We did the parasailing which was 3000/pax and was a one-way 15 minute ride down the beach. My daughter got a henna tattoo from S and J Henna Tattoo (on site) and was very happy with the job they did. The only downside I could mention is that we were there in mid-December and many local businesses were doing holiday parties during this time at the resort. We were provided notice each evening prior, however the events were onsite and quite loud - one day hosting two simultaneous events both using loud microphones. Not as relaxing as we had hoped. But they lasted only a few hours then the resort went back to normal. We were able to catch "Grabs" right out front to take us to shops/spas/restaurants when we wanted to get off site and of course those were very affordable - $2 US each way. Overall a great place to stay. I would highly recommend.
