We dined here after swimming in clear water, with deep blue sky, and sugar sand beach. It was a beautiful day and we came in hungry.
The name Balikbayan means "To Come Back to your Homeland." Locals shared this is a tourist favorite. Mainly because they open early , 10am to 10pm daily, and can accommodate huge groups. You can even order Filipino breakfast here even after 10am.
Love their inihaw (grilled in charcoal) squid. They stuffed them with onions and tomatoes, served with their special sauce. The Halo-Halo was a bit of a let down, but their excellent service and great Island Style cabanas setting made up for it.
This would not be my first choice here for dining in Bantayan Island as there are many other foodies in the area as it caters more for tourists, but I would not rule them out for their hours, good price, convenience near the beach and their excellent service. Definitely worth trying.
