I am so happy Home of Indus Foods opened up in Rockville. Although the name is similar to the store…read morein Silver Spring, the prices and the owners are different. I think so far, I am satisfied with the variety of foods and snacks offered, but be prepared for the bill to reflect the purchases, because I spent over $40 in less than five minutes and didn't even buy any meat! The owner is very nice as is the young man who stocks the shelves (I am sure he does other things too...). I was advised that I can call one day ahead and get fresh meat and if I purchase in arrival the meat will be frozen. Good to know!

They also offer a decent selection of vegetables for the Indian kitchen and boxes of mangos of course. The selection of Indian hair care products (e.g., henna) is unmatched in the DMV. If you need henna, go here. Why pay $20 at Whole Foods when you can get great Indian/Pakistani brands for under $5. The proprietor is particularly helpful and friendly and brings in all the good henna brands. I usually stock up and send out to friends. Friendliness by the store owner, a great stock of foods that make any Indian/Pakistani go "Aaaaah", and the henna are what keep me coming back here.

Feels like you've stepped back to a simpler time pre Internet! -Italiano sub was perfectly balanced and didn't get soggy on their hard Italian bread. May be the best Italian sub I've ever had- the crusty bread was a first for me! -Tacchino sub was good but would be better with some type of pickle. Felt very rich. -two cannolis hand filled to order! The filling had chocolate chips in it. The pastry shell was perfect and not too fried. We've gotten their pizza before too- def recommend! Fantastic crunch and they make their own mozzarella. We also like to get their homemade pizza dough, pizza sauce, mozzarella, ravioli, and pasta for quick weeknight dinners. Their dried pasta selection is impressive and includes gluten free pasta. They are kind, warm, and knowledgeable- I feel very taken care of when I go! Call in your order bc they don't do online ordering. Don't sleep on this gem!

Saturday 1/24/26…read more It's been a little over 2 years since my last visit, and a re-visit was definitely due, so I'm here. I made a call in pick up order and got the chicken parm sub $11.75 and gemellis pepperoni special $24. Also, the service for ordering and picking up was quick and easy. - The chicken parm sub was solid, but the main problem was the lack of tomato sauce. - The pepperoni special was a miss for me, and that's unfortunate cause I remember it being way better last time. It's cheesy, but the lack of tomato sauce and the dough/bread being underwhelming/ weak really ruins the taste experience. Overall, it seems that Gemelli has definitely fallen off in terms of the quality & taste that I've enjoyed previously. Don't know if I'd be back, but I do know that their chicken parm and polpette subs are still worthy choices in my eyes.

Aisles of items had moved, certain products were no longer available, but other things were on sale. Got some Korean and Indian snacks, produce, pre-made Korean food and other necessary items. I had a genuinely upsetting experience at the Lotte Plaza in Gaithersburg today, and it was…read moreentirely due to how the situation was handled by the staff. We picked up several kimbap at full price and continued shopping inside the store. A few minutes later, when we returned to the same section to get more, all of the kimbap had suddenly been marked 50% off. We never left the store, and the items we were holding were exactly the same as the ones now labeled on sale. Because of that, we went to customer service to ask if the sale price could be applied. While we were speaking with the customer service associate, another woman sitting nearby abruptly inserted herself into the conversation and said she was the kitchen manager and that she had personally decided to mark the items down. Then, within earshot of us, she said, "So people carry items around and then ask for a discount once they see the sale price." The implication was extremely unpleasant, and it made us feel as if we were being treated as unreasonable or dishonest customers. What made this even more frustrating was that both employees were already aware of why we came to customer service, yet chose to respond with a dismissive and condescending attitude instead of explaining the policy clearly and respectfully. We were told that because we picked up the items before the sale stickers were placed, we would have to pay full price. In the end, we chose not to purchase the kimbap at all, at either price. Realistically, the full priced kimbap we put back would have had to be marked down anyway, since identical items sitting next to sale priced ones are unlikely to sell at full price. This made the rigid stance feel unnecessary on top of being poorly handled. Policies are one thing. Publicly speaking about customers in a mocking or judgmental way is another. We left feeling genuinely disrespected, and it completely overshadowed what should have been a simple shopping experience. Customer service should involve basic courtesy and professionalism. Unfortunately, that was lacking here.
