Beautiful dog park with fun play elements. Finally checked out this dog park and was pleasantly surprised! It's next to a playground and there's a larger and smaller dog park. Parking is easy and the park was fairly clean.

Best dog park hands down in the area. Beautiful trees add to the shade. Huge area for running and playing.

Beautiful and clean park. Park rules respected by park goers. Different training obstacles to choose from. Also has shaded picnic tables.

Easy parking near dog gate entrances. Short fence separates big dogs from little dogs. Large dogs were easily jumping back and forth. There's plenary of running room on both sides. Poop bags were available and water was accessible. Park is going to be extended in the near future!

After visiting this dog park, I probably won't return to my former dog park. (Ontario, San Antonio Ave). This park is huge with plenty of room for my dog to run around and play. However, he did get sick recently. I believe it was due to stagnant water in the buckets of water for the dogs to drink from. Be cautious of stagnant water. My recommendation is to bring your own water or empty and refill the buckets your dog drinks from. My dogs sickness wasn't too bad. He was just lethargic, didn't eat normally, and had congestion within his nose. The sickness subsided after a few days. But no one wants to have to worry over their dog. Outside of this one isolated issue, there are plenty of friendly dogs and it's a great park for your dog to enjoy.

Small dog entrance that the dog walked out of.

First time here, Plenty of clean-up areas, large mostly shady park with quite a few benches for owners, 2 water stations. Only reason not giving it 5 stars is as we were leaving 1 of the small dogs simply walked out of the small dog area due to the gap of the gate.

Time: Saturday, 5:30 pm. Time to enter: Zero. No line. Dog Playground: 2, one for small dogs and one for big dogs. Restroom: Outside near the playgrounds. Parking: Plenty. Staff: No one on site. Notes: Bag dispenser was empty, bring your own bags. There are tools to pick up the waste. 4 picnic tables on the small dogs playground and 5 on the big dogs side. Water fountain on site. Worth It Level: High, big enough for dogs to mind their own business if they don't want to be social. CLEAN AFTER YOUR DOG!!

My husband and I came here with our 3 Shih Tzus over the weekend. The park itself is pretty easy to find. From the 210 Freeway, you exit Mountain, and head South and turn left onto 11th St. It's on 11th Street between Mountain Avenue and San Antonio Avenue. This dog park has been around since 1999 and it has a formal committee apparently who ensure the park is maintained. My dogs are between 12-16 lbs so we went to the small dog play area which was really big. It's the shape of a rectangle and was fairly long. They have water available near the entrance in case your dog(s) get thirsty, plenty of poop bags, trash cans, and a couple picnic tables for the humans. Note that there is a fair amount of dirt first and then it becomes more grassy. So if your dog is going back in your car (mine has cloth interior), you should bring some wipes to clean off their paws. We got there around 10AM and there were about 10 other small dogs in there already including a Pekinese, another Shih Tzu, Chihuahuas, a few mutts, and a Shi-Poo (Shih Tzu/Poodle) puppy! Overall, the dogs and their humans were well behaved and we would come here again. There were no "big" dogs in the small dog area, however, we saw a tiny dog in the Big Dog area and it was being chased by 3 large dogs. Hopefully, the owner of the small dog was okay with that..... I just wish the entire play area was grassy because you know the dogs end up laying in the dirt... (Sigh...) 44/100 Reviews for 2015

Pros 1. Large park for dogs to run around 2. 95% of the dogs are friendly and not scared to play with my malamute 3. Owners are friendly and talkative Cons 1. Seems like no one picks up after their dogs 2. Water station in near the entrance or there's a hose with a bucket at the opposite side. Better to bring ur own water and bowl for ur dog 3. Some owners bring really young puppies (5 months and younger) into the large dog side. The large dogs aren't aggressive just dominant and the puppies are shaking. Like come on 4. There's many homeless at the park right next to it. I've seen a women come in just to pet the dogs and leave. Overall I like it but once the pooch park opens back up in Claremont I'll probably go there more.

The VERY SHORT gate separating the large dogs from the small dogs. 3 ft. Max

Unfortunately the gate separating the small dogs from the larger dogs is only 3ft. My husband and I brought our small pup and several times during our stay there was a large dog who jumped over and scared all the small dogs. Also, the park isn't very clean. A lot of people leave their trash. We will not be returning to this dog park!

A very pleasant experience at the Baldy View Dog Park. The dog park is located within the Baldy View Park, in the left back corner, behind the park restrooms. There were a handful of transients around the actual park (not the dog park area). For the most part, they were respectful and did not beg and weren't obnoxious (no "bum fights"). There is a large and a small dog side, both with seperate entrances and their own water spigot, at least three tables to sit at, and poop/bag stations (also pooper scoopers). The small dog side is where we spent our afternoon and I was quite pleased to see that it wasn't overran with "land mines". There were however, a handful of poop piles around the corners of the end of the run area. For the most part, though, it seemed that most pet parents who visited were respectful and picked up after their pup. The small dog area has a mix of grass and pure dirt (due to drought most likely). The numerous people and pups that we encountered were friendly and mannered, with the exception of one fearful t-cup Chihuahua. Thankfully, though, the Chihuahua's owners stayed near and kept a mindful eye on the little one. Our pup, Olive enjoyed running about, meeting and playing with new fur-riends and we will certainly be returning.

Big park for large and small dogs. Enough room for them to run around and toss the ball. Lots of friendly dogs come here. Good environment.

Ask the Community - Baldy View Dog Park

Where can I find rules of conduct for this dog park? A neighbor mentioned to me dogs have to immediately be unleashed when entering dog park.

I've been going here for 8 years at least 4 days a week, there's nobody there that will enforce rules. People might suggest to you to unleash your dog but that's it .You don't have to do anything if you choose not to. The dog park is a place for… Read more

I remember when it didn't have much there to play on for the kids and then they renovated it to be a little bit better. My daughter's and I used to like playing soccer and frisbee on The Big Field here. The park was ran down just a tad bit and recently it looks like it's doing better again. The grasses of all the fields are really green, I see many cars there on nights and weekends when there are soccer games, and now they have a fenced in area that's a little dog park now. It's great to see this Park back in Action again. My favorite times going here are when nobody's around, it's really quiet, and I can just think and pray and have a wonderful time here.

It's going to be closed till Aug or Sept of 2024. But in the meantime they are sending us to Cabrillo Park it is a beautiful park with lots of pretty green grass and large open areas for the kids playing soccer. Playground is large and nice as well. We appreciate the neighbors and them allowing us to borrow a small section at the front street side for our fur babies. I have had a few people that live near this park ask me " is this a new dog park"? I explain and they say "wow we should eke this here it's really nice". I tell them well let your city council know that you enjoy it. These people didn't even know there was a dog park at baldy view or on 11th between San Antonio & Mountain. It will be a beautiful park once they are done!! So thanks for the temporary park!! It does not go unappreciated.
