When I first moved to Upland 23 years ago, I used to take my two daughters to this park many days here! It's changed over the years. I remember when it didn't have much there to play on for the kids and then they renovated it to be a little bit better. My daughter's and I used to like playing soccer and frisbee on The Big Field here. The park was ran down just a tad bit and recently it looks like it's doing better again. The grasses of all the fields are really green, I see many cars there on nights and weekends when there are soccer games, and now they have a fenced in area that's a little dog park now. It's great to see this Park back in Action again. My favorite times going here are when nobody's around, it's really quiet, and I can just think and pray and have a wonderful time here. read more

This is my first time to this park, I unfortunately my daughter doesn't like soccer, but that's ok. I came to this park because it is a temporary dog park since Baldy View Dog Park is being renovated. It's going to be closed till Aug or Sept of 2024. But in the meantime they are sending us to Cabrillo Park it is a beautiful park with lots of pretty green grass and large open areas for the kids playing soccer. Playground is large and nice as well. We appreciate the neighbors and them allowing us to borrow a small section at the front street side for our fur babies. I have had a few people that live near this park ask me " is this a new dog park"? I explain and they say "wow we should eke this here it's really nice". I tell them well let your city council know that you enjoy it. These people didn't even know there was a dog park at baldy view or on 11th between San Antonio & Mountain. It will be a beautiful park once they are done!! So thanks for the temporary park!! It does not go unappreciated. read more

There's 12 soccer fields. This is a great place for our boys to play ASYO soccer. They also have a VIP team which is dedicated to kids with Autism which is super cool! During Fall season there's plenty of parking. During Spring season parking is tough. If your soccer games are between 10-12 am, you'll most like park very far from the park. Cabrillo Park & Soccer Complex - Soccer practice - Parks Near Me - Upland, California

Nestled between Benson and Mountain Avenues on 11th St, not too far from Foothill Blvd, and just down the street from indoor soccer arena, this park is home to AYSO Region 32 (Upland Highlanders) amongst a few other club soccer teams. There is a lot of soccer played here on these fields, almost year round, but thanks to the hard work of all the volunteers (I'm assuming here) that come out to maintain these fields, they are always immaculate, and never ever look like dead grass wastelands. By comparison, I have seen soccer fields that have been over utilized to the point that it looks like cattle was brought in to graze and left nothing behind, but these fields are always green! What I like about this park is that it is always well lit when the kid are there playing. The whole park, and I'm talking the WHOLE park is very well lit. The parking lot could use a little more lighting, as could the playground area, but there on the field, its almost like daylight. This park has restrooms, usually the men's room smells like pee and there's never any paper towels (although they do have an old school blower thingie in there), so that would be my only complaint about this park. But if you have one kid practicing, and another one you'd rather take to the park area, there's swings, and a basketball court and plenty of stuff for them to run around on! read more

This is a beautiful park with plenty of room to exercise, walk your dog, play sports, etc. Well maintained for the most part. They've been watering less and less due to the drought. 4/5 stars because trash pick up is done so irregularly that the trash cans sometimes spill over and stay that way for a week or two. read more

This park is pretty close to terrible. Generally, from afar, it looks decent, it's reasonably peaceful, and it's big. It's also unbelievably messy. There's a hill that it was built on that causes all sorts of problems for any activities, especially basketball. Speaking of that GODAWFUL basketball court, it's one oddly shaped, super slippery, and the rims are 11 feet high or something. The net is a wire net that never break, but it doesn't give, so the ball doesn't go through it when you make a shot! And God FORBID you miss a shot, or it's rolling down the hill FOREVER, right into the parking lot (I've almost gotten hit like 5 times chasing the ball). It's a ghost town at night. The fields are lit well but the rest of the park is UBER dark after sundown. The soccer fields have more brown on them than green, and the bathrooms attached are horrible, even as public restrooms go. Unbelievable smells in there. There are a bunch of probably-underaged kids from the apartments next door (I live there - I'd rather live in a public restroom) smoking all the time, and doing other stuff, and they all need to get slapped in the face, because those are some of the worst kids I've ever encountered. Upland isn't a bad city, but it's not a great city, and this park is one of the most poorly-designed, poorly maintained parks I've ever encountered. Don't go. Please. read more
