It's a long drive out in the country but worth the trip!…read more The only negative was our first impression when we walked into the shop. The owner and her employee were in conversation, and neither greeted us, spoke to us, or even nodded. A simple "Hi" with a smile would have made all the difference. Nice selection in the shop. We thoroughly enjoyed the lavender cookies and tea! I loved that they use biodegradable straws and recycle the cups! The shop porch is a lovely spot to sit on a swing and disconnect from the world. In July, the lavender was not in bloom, but that didn't diminish our enjoyment at all. There is a 'secret' path to "The Sanctuary" - a small grove of Osage orange trees. Unfortunately it's not a secret to mosquitoes, so bring big spray. The grounds are beautiful. We enjoyed walking around and taking pictures and buying lavender souvenirs in the gift shop. This place is small, but the country road drive was fun and worth the trip. The smells are heavenly!

Libbe and her husband created such a wonderful space, full of zen! A great way to escape the hustle and bustle of city life and it's only 30 min drive from downtown Indy! There is a cute gift shop, filled with all things lavender! Sleep masks, soaps, lotions, teas, bunches, and more. I was quite literally in my personal heaven. Not only is this a gift shop but you're free to explore the farm and grounds. There is a great space to get away and be surrounded by nature and the woods. It also happens to be a place to rent for events like weddings. Be sure to visit their website/social media for the most updated info on seasonal hours and openings. On Wednesday evenings, Main Street in Bargersville turns into a Farmers Market filled with pop-up…read moretents and food trucks. I like having a mid week option to purchase local produce. The market runs from 5:00 - 7:00 pm. When I arrived shortly after 5:00, parking was at a premium and some products were already sold out. There were tents selling local popcorn, honey, crocheted goods, flowers, produce, baked goods, meats and more. I saw a long line of people waiting for fresh guacamole. A folk band played and sang. I counted at least six food trucks selling tacos, more tacos, donuts and juices. I bought some fresh broccoli from Heirloom Farms. I thought prices were high for a farming community, but in line with other farmers markets closer to Indy.

They've added public restrooms as well as a little amphitheater. It's really nice. The market now has two long rows of vendors. The Whiskers on Wheels bus was such a neat idea. You can get on and pet animals. They had so many booths selling different things, honey, kombucha, coffee, baked goods, bath salts and many more. This market is within walking distance of the county courthouse in Franklin. It's open Saturdays 8 am - noon.

The location is easily walk a boulder all of the shops and restaurants in downtown Franklin. We especially loved visiting this community for the great antique shops and architecture. Make it a perfect morning by adding in a visit to Main & Madison Bakery. The prices were very reasonable and everyone we encountered was very friendly. Finding parking was also a breeze thanks to the location.

But if you want a small, family owned, friendly store with a non-production feel, this is your place. Watch for it because there are no landmarks around and the GPS had a hard time finding the exact location on the road. They have apple cider, a slush machine with regular and cherry cider (we all agreed the cherry cider wasn't that great), honey products, pumpkins, apples, and country crafts.
