Excellent office visit from reception to the Dr. Made my teenage daughter feel very comfortable and gave extremely thorough care.

What's terrible is the front desk and customer service reps. Rude and disrespectful to put it mildly. Last time I was there I was told by the radiologist to go see my doctor upstairs only to be scolded by one of the girls there that the radiology doctor was not finished reviewing my scans. It was completely not necessary and very unprofessional. Improve your customer service .

To make it much worse, they make you change into a very thin gown and wait in a freezing room with other women for over an hour. I think I will be sick from this visit. Scheduling the appointment was also unpleasant, the lady on the phone seemed to be unpleasant intentionally. Even the documents I uploaded I had to upload twice. I was planning to do other cancer testing within these 4 hours..LHR wasted them for me while keeping me in a freezing room, it was dehumanizing. they do not think of their patients as humans. they think for them not to wait 5 min for a woman to take of her blouse, she should wait in the freezing waiting room for over an hour with other woman in the same gown. I did not feel comfortable the whole duration of the visit. horrible all around. Update: the following day, i am practically sick. I feel cold, tired, and i am sneezing. Aweful treatement of patients.

I am always on top of my bills and I have always made sure my FSA etc is enough and covers everything so I don't get surprise bills. I had a guided ultrasound biopsy for a small mass in my breast on 9/2018. On that day I paid 142.12 dollars. then in May 2019 I receive a $650.89 bill. By this time I am on different insurance. I cannot use the old FSA because its too late, my new FSA wont accept it and declines it. I called the office to get a copy of the procedures and procedure codes from the billing department to show Discovery Benefits, lshannon was cold and not empathetic at all. I had to collect information from Mt Sinai for similar issue and their billing they were 100% better about it. After receiving it the paper for codes, service dates and procedure codes etc. This form is difficult to read, even discover benefits did not want to read it. If you look through it correctly, I realized the 142.12 was on some previous procedures I did with them that I had NO idea i owed money on. Maybe it's not them, maybe its United Health Care, but just like how none of these parties care as long as they paid, maybe they are all to blame.

If you show up with all your paperwork ready, and a good attitude, you're more likely to get faster service. Westside Radiology no longer takes appointments for x-rays, so I've found a good trick is to get there when they open. I was just there for a simple chest x-ray, and even though x-ray services hadn't started, they took me a little early and I got right in and out. Everyone was really nice. Thank you Westside Radiology.

Ladies, I'm gonna blow your minds with my next sentence:…read more Getting a mammogram isn't that bad. Ok, so your mind isn't blown, you just think I'm nuts. And I am... about Mount Sinai West, Radiology Associates West (6th Floor). First off, they ONLY do 3D imaging Mammos, which don't require the techs to flatten you to a pancake and then spend minutes on end trying to reposition and recapture an image that regardless always looks to me like a primordial black hole that is your boob in space. TRUTH: you STILL have to awkwardly stand, head askew, arm reaching, feet turned wonky, boob inserted into a plastic binder... but it isn't so press-y and it is for seconds, not minutes. And not THAT many images are needed, cuz... it's 3D. And if your tech is Sophie, then the experience is a walk in the park. You see, I've been to Mount Sinai West for exactly two years now for my mammos, and Sophie has consistently ensured a decent and even nice experience. Last year there was an issue with my insurance, and Sophie took the helm, called my insurance company, hammered it out with grace, finesse and the assurance that "we'll work this out together". And I was SOOO GRATEFUL. This year, she remembered me right away, and was, again, so personable, understanding, and just the kinda gal you want to see every year if you have to, ugh... get a mammo. They have clean dressing rooms, lockers, and non-papery gowns, and it is quiet and almost spa-like, well, sorta, if your idea of a spa ends in a boob mush. So, another TRUTH: I don't mind going once a year to Mount Sinai West, Radiology Associates West (6th Floor) for what used to be an anxiety-filled nightmare at other locations. Getting a mammogram isn't that bad.

My insurance had covered the procedure the prior year, so I believed it would be covered, so I signed. They tricked me into signing a waiver and then insisted that I pay, and sent my bill to a collection agency within two months of me requesting that they send additional info to my insurer. Thanks to Lizette the Tech who explained exactly what was going to happen in great detail before the biopsy. And thanks to Dr. Handler who did the same, as well as asking me how I was doing at each step of the procedure. Seriously.... thank you! Because I was a ball of anxiety the night before and if no one bothered to explain the horrendous sound the biopsy needle makes in advance.... That loud stapler sound would have had me jumping off the table with a punctured lung. Who designed that thing? Was "CLACK!!!" the kind of sound you were going for with a surgical instrument? The entire staff is friendly and helpful. I mean everyone. And if they're running behind, you just might get juice and snacks! Whoo hoo! It really helps to have such friendly staff for anything as nerve racking as cancer screening. So, don't let nerves stop you ladies! Go get your boobies smashed yearly. And screw the "wait 'till 50" thing. Go get a baseline mammogram at 40. Yay Boobies!

Save your life, the worst experience I have had in my whole life at this facility and almost died…read more I went there for a cat scan and the place was packed and not enough staff and when the technician came he looked overwhelmed and started to complain how he can't do everything on his own. He took me to a small room and started to look for things in the draw and when he finally found, he injected me with saline and walked out from the room, leaving me all alone. I started to feel unwell right after that, my blood pressure dropped and I started to go in and out of consciousness, sitting in that small room with no one to help me. It was just horrifying, the energy was leaving my body and I knew that something was very wrong. At some point I saw someone passing by in front of the room and I waved for help. The next thing I saw was a doctor saying "I don't like what I see". I was so scared and didn't understand what was happening to me. I didn't realize that I went into shock. When the doctor tried to give me epi pen shot (life saver), he injected himself instead of me not once, but twice. Finally I received my life saver epi pen on a third try. He was yelling "call the ambulance for her and for me". What was really horrible like 5 people were standing in front of this room and just staring at what was happening to me. Where were they when I was left all alone in that small room? Finally the ambulance came for me and the doctor. Also, while I was in ambulance I could hear people saying that I received contaminated substance and they gave me two more epi pen shots and the shivering of my body was so bad I was never scared like that moment in my whole life. When I arrived at the emergency and they took blood right away to make sure that my organs were not damaged from contamination. It took me two months to get back in some kind of a normal. I spent the whole day until evening at emergency while they stabilized my condition. As for Lenox Hill Imaging, they never called to see if I was alive. When I called they said a few words, nobody wanted to take any accountability what happened to me. They tried to hide like it didn't happened. I requested report to see what I was contaminated with and they refused to give it to me. They were only repeating that I was given saline and they told me to talk to Compliance at their Corporate Department. The corporate was even more evasive, they were just typing what I was saying and told me that they will get back to me. They didn't, I had to call again and again they didn't say much. I realized they just want to cover this without taking any responsibility and I stoped calling them. This experience was the worst that I ever had, no accountability no sorry, they just pretended like it never happened. I went to get a cat scan and this is what happened to me. You don't get into shock from saline, it has to be contaminated. Still when I write this, I can feel how horrible this experience was and I don't want anyone else to go through this.

The scheduling personnel was able to promptly pull up my doctor's order when I called and put me on the schedule at a date & time that worked for me. The date was more important than the location in my case. The customer experience was impeccable with two reminder calls and app notifications. They were able to communicate with my doctor's office to confirm what type of contrast was needed for my study. I checked in through the app the day before my appointment and as a result only waited a few minutes before being called back by the technician. I am a hard stick but the nurse listened to me and was able to place the IV without too much struggle. The technician confirmed the reason for the study prior to me getting on the table. He gave me a radiological marker to apply near the area of concern. The study took 5 minutes then I was on my way with my post-discharge instructions in hand! I highly recommend this imaging facility!
