So here's the deal: I don't usually write reviews for chain restaurants; however, I feel that the quality of Vapiano, for what it is, is pretty good. I understand why lunch and dinner times (even during mid-week) are busy times. You don't get waiter service, but that's okay with me.
This restaurant is set up in a cafeteria-style. When you arrive, you get an electronic tap card and go to various stations to get the food you want (salad, pizza, pasta, dessert/bar). The food is then prepared when you order at the counter, and you tap the card so it records your tab. When you leave, they scan the card and you pay for everything you ordered.
I think the atmosphere is pretty good and can be intimate if needed, but also good for a group of friends.
