Vapiano does a fantastic job of serving fresh, simple, yet mind-bogglingly delicious Italian food. This is none of that carb-loaded pasta with thick artery-clogging sauce. Everything is made to order and customized to your liking. I pride myself on trying new foods every time I visit a restaurant, but their Pomodoro e Spinaci is so amazing, I rarely got anything else. The sauce has fresh tomatoes, and the spinach is added just at the end for extra freshness -- possibly the best pasta I've ever had. Whilst not as cheap as getting pizza on Pontstraße, just about everything is less than 10 €, and is well worth the price. The restaurant is designed with a casual modern air -- just as fresh as the food, making it a great place to meet up with groups of friends. If you're in Aachen, visit Vapiano. You will not regret it. I've come back to the states now, but I still sorely miss the food.
