My first time trying this place, I got the jerk chicken with rice and peas, gravy, and the famous pasta salad. I been reading some fabulous reviews on this place from some of the elite reviewers on this app and this place sounded so good, I had to drive all the way to the other side of Brampton today just to try their food! Everything sounds great on the menu but I decided to order their jerk chicken on pasta instead of with the rice and peas. Let's start off by saying it was well worth the 20 minute drive to get there. They're located in a small busy plaza  but parking was not an issue for me . This place is extremely busy, that's usually a good sign that food must be good, On arrival  There was a lineup outside of about 8 people and the place had their max Covid capacity of 5 people inside the restaurant waiting to pick up or place their orders. Uber and Skip The Dishes drivers were non-stop in and out picking up orders. Food 5/5  The food was absolute yum! just fire guys and gals! hence the great reviews and how crazy busy the place was.  let's start with the Jerk chicken itself, This jerk did not have your typical jerk seasonings it was very unique in flavor, I mean you can taste some of the Caribbean seasonings and maybe some jerk seasonings and spice but it had almost like a BBQ glaze that  was slightly tangy just amazing! I can't even tell you, foodies, how  juicy the chicken was , I have never! ever! had jerk chicken that has been so juicy and tender fall off the bone perfection like this, it was just incredibly perfectly cooked and seasoned right through with that caramelized tangy BBQ  flavor on the outside. Now the pasta salad was another star winner in every way and a must-must try guys when you come here  , It was creamy , cheesey , with a hint of sweetness and perfectly seasoned and ever so lightly spicy. just the perfect pasta salad to go with the spicy jerk chicken.  I would go back just for this pasta salad alone thats how good it is, to die for yum! Love love love the food here. Came here to try the lunch special which had the jerk chicken, rice and peas and pasta salad with the oxtail sauce. This also came with pop or water. It's a takeout place so when I got here there was no line up. The guy at the front was friendly and served me asap. The chicken had a slight kick of spice which I did not mind. It was cooked to perfection, being super moist and flavourful. The skin was nicely roasted and literally melted in my mouth. I got three chicken pieces which were more than enough for me. I've had Allwyn's, Chris Jerk, Jerk King franchises (don't judge me for that one), yet nothing in the suburbs of where I live. Let me tell you about Baker's Jerk House. The storefront is small and located right in the plaza beside Lake of Dreams. When you walk-in you can tell that it's mostly a take-out place cause the only seating is near the window. I came at 11:30 and there was already a line-up - so I knew this place is popular. Now that I've wasted your time talking about the place, let me start talking about the food . I only ordered the jerk chicken lunch special and I'm only judging them based on this... but that jerk chicken was so juicy and flavourful. It had a spicy kick to it, but not too spicy. Even my mom said the spice was not bad (she can't take spicy food) and how the chicken is as juicy as how she makes it . I don't know if it's because I was extremely hungry, or maybe it was just that good. Lots of other places can make their jerk chicken really dry. I had the meal with the pasta salad and that too was good as well. The rice and peas were lacking flavour, but if you ask for it with the oxtail gravy, it'll fix that. But also, put more oxtail gravy! I thought the lunch special portion was going to be too small and not filling, but honestly, it was enough for me to eat! My mom went here and I was taken a back by the flavour of the jerk chicken so I decided to return and try it again. Just like the first time it was flavourful. It is very different from other jerk chickens I've tried. Definitely more flavour than spice. There is still heat but at least my tounge isn't just burning. There is flavour. Also, the pasta that came with it was cheesey good with spice. And the rice and beans with oxtail sauce tasted like any other. I prefer this over Daddy's jerk or Portland jerk any other carribean style jerk chicken I've tasted. However, I still do enjoy west Indian style jerk chicken. I will definitely return again for the same meal or try something different. I can't believe some of my friends weren't impressed by this. No tea no shade but my friends are kinda bland on the food spectrum lol. Price is appropriate to portion size. I got a really good size of jerk chicken breast meat. Omg this is my favourite place to go to when I'm craving jerk chicken! The chicken leg is actually so big and meaty compared to most places Ive been to that serves the skinniest chicken leg ever. The chicken is so tender and juicy, it falls right off the bone when I bit into it to compliment the jerk chicken & rice and peas, bakers jerk has a pasta salad side (definitely recommend)! It's sweet (not overly sweet) and goes so well with the entire dish! It is located in a pretty busy plaza (or at least the times when I go), so I usually park on the other side of the place and walk over. Bakers Jerk is more of a take out place so don't expect any tables, but the service is still really good for a take out location. I get my order reallyyy quick.. you know there are some take out places that still take FOREVER to give you your food? Not here!! From what I remember, it is $8 for a small and $10 for a large jerk chicken. I always get the large and surprisingly I finish it! I usually don't finish my meals but this is just too good I can't stop myself lol! I definitely recommend visiting bakers jerk if you're in the mood for some jerk chicken. I've lived within a few minutes reach from this place and have been coming here from when they were newly opened -- and let me tell you... it is one of the the best jerk shops around. And don't even get me started on their oxtail . I rarely ever finish full takeout meals in one sitting, as I'm quite small in size (I'm 5'2 and high metabolism) and tend to save around half of my food for leftovers as portions tend to be large too. But, I scrape every last bit of my food from Baker's. Funny enough, I have a friend that travels from Toronto (20 min drive) to Brampton, JUST for Baker's alone. YOOOOOO. Omg, I can't believe it took me these many years to finally try Baker's. I can't believe how good it was! Dare I say it? Their oxtail is defs comparable to Portland's! It was soooo tender, fall-off the bone juicy. Nothing missing. It was really on point! I really like that they offer 3 different types of salad with your meal (pasta salad, garden and coleslaw). From reading reviews, I knew I had to go with the pasta salad. I'm not a fan of coleslaw to begin with. Pasta salad was such a great addition to my meal. If you're having something really spicy, the salad is so creamy, guaranteed to cool down the heat. I bought my friend a jerk chicken meal and he would not stop going on about how good the food was. So I had a little piece of his chicken and the first words out of my mouth were 'holy sh*t'. Girl, I was shook! I was not expecting the chicken to be that good. I don't usually get jerk chicken because I'm an oxtail girl but daaamn, This chicken hit every point! Juicy, also fall off the bone and bursting with flavour. Located in a small plaza at the intersection of Bovaird St East and Sunnyvale Gate stands a small family run jerk house. I've always asked where to get some real good jerk chicken and Baker's Jerk was constantly recommended to me. The store features an assortment of different dinners they offered such as curry chicken, jerk chicken, curry goat, oxtail and so on. But to put some credibility to these reccomendations I ordered the large jerk chicken dinner that came up to $11.30 even though the person in front of me ordered the curry goat it looked irresistible (next time). Honestly I have to apologize for not taking a picture. But it was that good. I got to say that everything in that dinner made it well worth it to try. The Chicken Dinner came with rice and beans, pasta salad (that looked like mac & cheese) and 4 pieces of jerk chicken. All aspects of this dinner was phenomenal! I first tried the pasta salad and it as this creamy, subtle tangy and rich flavour to it that I wish I got more of. The rice and beans had a jerk sauce that added to it's flavour. But oh the jerk chicken... it was absolutely heavenly. The jerk chicken was really tender and was completely easy to eat every meat to the bone. My tip would be to ask for the chicken gravy on top of the jerk chicken which adds more to the flavour. I would honestly come back here to try their oxtail dinner and curry goat dinner because I really craved it when I came today I would honestly do the same my friends have told me and reccomend this to anyone who wants quality jerk chicken read more

Abeolutely Delicious! Their Ox Tail Jerk Chicken Combo Dinner never disappoints. Their curry goat is a close second with the boldness of the curry and the perfect viscosity of the sauce. Portions are super generous and while most Jamaican places just offer coleslaw, this place offers a pasta salad that is to die for. Great Jerk Chicken for sure!!! Tender and delicious. Not too sure about everything else. The King fish was dry and wasn't a fan of the OX tail. The pasta salad was full of sugar. I don't know if that's what authentic Jamaican salads are like, but way too sweet for me. And the line up during lunch was just terrible. One person takes the order, goes to the back, comes back a while later, brings out the bag, finishes the cash transaction....they need a better system. We got rice and peas with extra oxtail sauce and one order with creamy coleslaw and the other with their specialty pasta. The jerk chicken had a punch with amazing flavour along with a nice caramelized skin pair with the acidity of the coleslaw was delicious. The crispy chicken we got the extra red sauce on the side ( taste like banana ketchup). The staff are so friendly here and so nice. HIGHLY Recommended to come and try. read more

Just tried this for the first time. The chicken was so juicy and such a great flavour! We ordered jerk chicken, rice and pasta salad. Jerk Chicken was delish! But the only real downfall was there was a lot of pieces of bones. Like small shards of bones not sure if this was caused by the way it was chopped. But for chicken Breast it was disappointing And a little annoying. I like to stuff my face :) but I was so worried about taking big bites Otherwise it would have been 5 star. Not sure if this is common maybe I should call to let them know. Rice and peas with oxtail gravy. Very good. Great flavour Pasta salad had a great flavour. Next time I will order more. :). Never heard of this place until i drove by the other day. Today i felt for soup so i checked their website and saw the large priced at $5.25. Went there and the TV menu board had it for $7.00. Said to self, i am here and feel for soup so i ordered a large beef soup. The cashier punched in my order and pointed to the payment terminal. Was about to tap when i noticed the amount was $10.17. I brought the price mismatch between menu board and cash register to their attention and the response was ' i only work here' to which i replied ' you are the face of the business so you need to take ownership'. Great place for w cheap lunch meal! It was my first time coming here as I was looking for new places to eat besides Tim Hortons near my work. The service is relatively slow and there are only 2 places to sit, but the service was very good however slow. Nonetheless worth the 5.68 cents comes with a drink. The jerk chicken is not too spicy.
