While I cannot comment on every item they serve (I only order a couple favourites from the menu) they have a wide variety of choices that are sure to make your mouth water! You receive enormous portions for a reasonable price. For example, my favourite is the chicken finger meal, which is $10, a wonderful price considering the Lazy Scholar's finger meal is about $13-15 for half the portion of Tall Fry's. Not only is the food good, but the customer service is as well! Everyone who I've seen working for Tall Fry is polite! They also are quite efficient, the longest I've ever had to wait is about 15 minutes during a busy day, but on average the time between ordering and the food being ready is pretty quick! Overall, Tall Fry is the best place for a bite to eat on Queen's Campus, and I highly recommended it to anyone in the Kingston area!

Despite an initial three-week delivery estimate, I did not pick up the unit until nearly two months later, on June 23, 2026. My total investment for this cart was $9,367.70 ($4,683.85 deposit plus $4,683.85 final payment). I was under the impression I was purchasing a brand-new 2026 model; however, upon receiving the paperwork on delivery day, the unit was listed as a 2022 model. Subsequent inspection on June 24 revealed that even the rubber tires are 2022 models, meaning the tires on this supposedly "brand-new" cart are nearly five years old. The pickup process was equally concerning. We arrived by appointment, but were subjected to a rushed, 30-minute overview. During that brief time, we flagged several obvious deficiencies, yet we were quickly hurried out the door. After conducting a thorough inspection at home on June 24, 2026, it became clear I had purchased a poorly constructed unit. As a trades professional, I believe this cart was built from scrap metal by someone lacking professional trade experience. The issues are extensive: exposed sharp metal, missing fasteners, jagged edges, deep gouges in the top, and leaking plumbing. Furthermore, a hot water line is leaking and rubbing against jagged metal, creating a high risk of failure. Most concerning is the quality of workmanship and finish that is completely unacceptable, what was supplied is not as advertised for this model on their website or YouTube videos. I was expecting a commercial quality Hummer model hot dog cart, but, received something that was made out of what appears to be recycled/refurbished previously used sheet metals that are heavily gouged and poorly spot welded, including many poorly applied fasteners. My advice to anyone considering this company for ANY build is to inspect every detail, do not trust their word, don't lay down any cash deposits until you see proof of concept / finished product and pay close attention to their workmanship. I will soon be posting a YouTube video and photos documenting these deficiencies so others can see exactly what to expect from this shop for my nearly $10,000 purchase. This review will remain posted despite the intimidating tone applied by the owner Will Hosgskiss regarding altering this review to 5 star only or he will not do anything. I am reporting this threat to Google for investigation. See other negative reviews for the same poor workmanship and behavior by this sloppy shop and owner Will Hosgskiss. Further information, pictures and updates to follow. Check other reviews as there many negative listed.

I ordered the 3 tacos that comes with a canned drink or a bottled water. Shrimp, Mahi, and chicken were my taco choices. Upgraded $ for the first two making it just under $22. Great service at the window and only a few minutes to wait. Tables in the shade. Opened the box. These are fully loaded! Asked for the ghost pepper sauce to complete the plate. I like it hot! I tried the shrimp taco and it made me want to dance. So good. So juicy. I ate a few pieces of the chicken meat. Owner came up to me asking me how it was, wanted honesty. I told him exactly what I said above. Well, he said 'you have to try the pork'! Wow! GET the pork! Even more juiciness! I had plenty to take home and I'm so grateful I found this place. Each member of the catering staff had an essential role in helping us carry out our dream wedding. We truly are thankful, and grateful for the professionalism the members of the company presented throughout the special day. We also must acknowledge that our wedding was not the easiest to cater due to it occurring during pandemic times. However, Dani (i.e., organizer) was able to effectively guide us through the process to ensure that we were able to have a safe wedding, but still have all the festivities/décor that we desired. Let's talk about the food, simply put, "it was absolutely terrific". From the appetizers (i.e., mac & cheese), to the dinner (i.e., stuffed chicken), and the grand finale of chocolate mouse; the food was made with pride and passion. Set our bias aside when we say that the food was the best we have ever had at any wedding. Chef, Louie promised us that we would have nothing to worry about when it came to the taste of the food come the wedding day, and he fulfilled this promise. We thank-you for keeping your word being a true genuine person who cares about their craft. For those that are reading this review, your worries and apprehension around selecting a catering company will instantly be extinguished if you make the choice to have the Tulips & Maple staff join you on your special day. Thanks, Dustin and Geraldine "Sinclair"
