First, I found this company on the Altoona Rocks Facebook page as frequently recommended. Second, I called my insurance broker to ask for roofing recommendations and this was the first one he mentioned. Third, they responded within 24 hours to my online request. When I called them back after another roofer failed to come, they were here the next morning. They confirmed my roof was missing shingles and some were curling. He let me call him back so I could contact the builder first about doing repairs. I will 100% be calling them if I need a new roof in the future. read more

We had our entire roof replaced and the team took great care of our property, home windows were protected along with landscape, friendly during the entire process, and informative. We noticed a black spot growing on the ceiling of our kitchen and became concerned about a roof leak above. We called Bakeris and Jeff came out to perform a roof system evaluation. He was extremely thorough, checking the ventilation in the attic to noting deterioration of our siding which had been installed improperly to roof damage from a recent hail storm, documenting it all with pictures so we could see it. There was indeed a leak causing the black spot in our kitchen and he immediately fixed the worn and torn flashing around our vent pipes. The fees charged were very reasonable and we have contracted them to come back and fix the siding that was installed improperly. The professionalism, courtesy, and clean up were all top notch and I highly recommend their services. Much better experience than we've had with other contractors and at reasonable rates. I recently needed an estimate on getting a short list of repairs done to my roof so I could sell my house. After leaving a message to call me back, they finally did 3 days later. Except, they informed me that they wouldn't just do the repairs the inspector had noted in his report, but instead they wanted $89 to come out and give me a "total roof system evaluation". I said no thanks. What a scam. I don't charge for estimates with my business. I can't believe there are other businesses that still do. read more

Bakeris Roofing recently installed a steep, hip roof on our home. The job was bid by Bryce with a full explanation of what to expect from tear off to installation to clean-up afterwards. Every aspect from beginning to end was perfectly orchestrated with highly professional employees throughout the process. Bryce not only bid the job, but he came to the job site during installation to review the progress. Another employee, Victor, also checked on the job during installation and afterwards. Every effort was made by the installers to cover and protect landscaping. Upon completion, the installers left our property in perfect condition and used a large magnet to collect all loose nails hidden in the grass. Bryce completed a final inspection, and assured us that Bakeris Roofing is still on call if we ever have any problems. I called Bakeris to come out to look at my roof for repairs as there were water spots on the ceilings in several places. Jordan came out and walked around on the roof, then came in and sat down with an estimate of around $4500 for repairs and said they would like a certain amount of money to get me on the schedule. I had sticker shock and said I needed to speak with my husband before doing anything, especially giving them money to get on the schedule! Then I was told I had to pay $89 for a service call. I said I had not been told about a fee or I would not have had them come out. There are plenty of companies who don't charge a service fee for an estimate. Also, Jordan did not check the attic space either as I was told that he would. Regardless, I spoke with 2 more companies who did not charge me a fee and they both mentioned I had hail damage. I am now getting a new roof and my ceilings painted and repaired for the cost of my insurance deductible. I would check around before using this company. read more
