Those x-rays were billed to our insurance. If the prior films were available, this should not have been billed as a duplicate service. The front desk check-in felt unwelcoming. The window was opened and immediately closed in a manner that felt short. The dentist did not introduce himself. I learned his name only at checkout at the desk. Both hygienists were aggressive during the cleanings and caused pain. When I raised discomfort, the only advice offered was to take over-the-counter ibuprofen. The approach and tone from clinical staff felt abrupt and lacking in empathy. We will not be returning.

During my procedure, with laughing gas, I was told that I was going to have a root canal. I was pulled off the gas and told to sign some papers. I did this, and then went back under the gas, feeling nauseated the entire time. It was then the worst root canal of my life; long, painful and nauseated. When I came out the dr and the nurse looked visibly shaken like they hadn't expected it. I was sent home WITHOUT a prescription for antibiotics. Over the next three days, my swelling went from bad to worse as my neck began to swell up in the front. The pain was unbelievable. On Monday I called the office as soon as they opened and todl them that my neck was swelling. I was told to take ibuprofen and use a hot compress. On Tuesday, it got even worse and I began to struggle with the feeling of something in my throat. I went into the office and the dentist looked at me and said "Well, I think it's an infection, so we will give you another round of antibiotics. I said "You never gave me a first round" and they looked panicked. They sent me to an oral surgeon in New Milford who did x-rays. They could see the infection and told me if it got any worse to go immediately to the ER. The next morning, I woke up and could barely breathe. My husband raced me to the ER where they pumped me full of steroids and antibiotics and did a CAT scan on my neck. I was there for nine hours, and I have never been so scared in my life. There are no words to capture how scary it is feeling your windpipe slowly close. When I reached out to the dental team, I heard NOTHING. They did not check on me, they did not offer any help or empathy. This mistake, and their lack of follow up not only almost cost me my life, but it cost around 8,000 in medical bills. When I went to them with a reasonable request to pay back thte money that their mistake had cost me (and nothing more), they couldn't be bothered. I had to pursue it for months until an outside company reached out to me to say they believed they did nothign wrong. I have never gotten an apology or even a voicemail from the dentist. DO NOT GO TO THIS DENTIST. When i went for a follow-up to another dentist (since I refused to go back), she told me that my root canal was done improperly and that we would need to do it again because it was done sloppily. I wept in the chair at the idea of having anything done in that area. This was my experience with the Dental Team; one that I unfortunately for my health and my bank account, will never forgot.

I had a painful dental emergency and after momentary panic when I realised Levy Dental (who have…read morerave reviews here on Yelp) didn't take my Cigna HMO plan, I desperately looked into other options who would take my insurance and would be willing to see me that same day. New Haven Dental Associates did both and booked me in for a quick diagnostic and x-ray work. I rushed over and found they're located in the Chapel Medical Center right in front of St. Raphael's. The entrance is somewhat dodgy - no sign, no indication of what offices are in the building, you have to go in through the back door into a tiny little porch, up two flights of stairs, through a rather empty corridor. But once I walked in the office, I was greeted by two smiling assistants. Everyone I spoke to was extremely kind and helpful - which is a giant plus when you're dealing with major toothache and the world seems like a nasty place. I was promptly seen by Dr. Sripathi who gave me a quick diagnostic, told me how to control the pain before I was able to get a tooth extraction booked, and referred me to the oral surgeon, Dr. Sorrentino, across the hall (literally) because their own surgical schedule was fully booked. A bonus for all 80s lovers out there: the office is decked out in imitation marble cabinets, floors and textured walls, it's supremely cheesy and wonderful.

I left the office assured that each step of my treatment would be coordinated with other doctors involved in it. The issues raised as soon I've scheduled with my periodontist to have the tooth extracted: I was told that the temporary device would take at least 3 weeks to deliver (at the initial visit, I was told that the device will be made on time to temporary replace the extracted tooth). At the initial visit, when I asked the doctor about the costs associated with my case, I was referred to the front desk. Later, I was surprised/alarmed when the front desk person got irritated when I asked for the information. To remain to be a patient of the doctor, it seems, I had to agree to be kept in the dark about the costs as well as about the time frame of my treatment. All considered, I've decided to look for another dentist. Ludmila O.

First I was told the full mouth X rays are covered by my insurance (they were not). Then the estimate for the root canal and how the amount the insurance would cover was wrong. Then the extraction costs were higher due to difficulty, which it did not seem to be. Finally I paid the bill at the end and put it behind me. Now one year later I receive a text that I owe another $540 and will be sent to collection if not paid. When I asked the reason for the additional cost the answer was not satisfactory. The best part about it all, is the tooth feels loose and I don't feel comfortable using that side. If you know a good dentist please tell me.
