Best banana bread I've ever had in my life. (Sorry, mom!) Friendly owner, creative baked goods. Right on the cute town square.

Best food I've had on this Tennessee trip! We drove about 35 minutes from our airbnb to eat here…read moreand it was SO WORTH IT! Quaint breakfast spot with very kind staff. The BEST scotch eggs I've ever had and served with a mustard aioli that just completes the dish. The Fred eggs Benedict was delicious. Thick piece of ham that was like cutting through butter. Paired with the cheddar grits, which were also amazing! If you're in the area and a foodie this place is a MUST! They also had chocolate gravy... yes that's correct... chocolate! We didn't try it but I'm sure it's great. Fun fact... there's a QR code in the front at the hostess stand and in the bathroom for 25% off your first meal if you sign up for texts! Make sure you tip good, this place is well worth it! We will definitely be back next time we are in town.

Cumberland Biscuit has always been my go to breakfast place for visiting family and friends. While…read morethe service remains great and the restaurant is always clean with a friendly atmosphere, my meals during the last 3 visits have been disappointing. First visit, I asked if my waffle could be served later because I like it hot and fresh. I was told that's fine, but when they brought it out it was cold. Server offered to make it fresh and that was great. It was obviously warmed in a microwave and was floppy like a pancake when she reserved my waffle. Second visit I decided pancakes may be a better option, but when they brought them out they were hard and rubbery. This time I mentioned the previous incident and was told to specify making them fresh upon request, otherwise they remain under the warmer which makes them hard and rubbery while still warm. Makes sense. This most recent visit with family, two of us ordered the biscuits and gravy. The gravy was so watery it soaked into the biscuit making it soggy. The usually very tasty home fries were simply cooked potatoes with no seasoning (they've always been very flavorful) and the over medium eggs had runny whites. The coffee had a burnt taste which is not the norm. It's usually hot, fresh and tastes better than the average cafe coffee. The recent inconsistency in the quality of the food is really disappointing. Willing to give it another try in the future, but definitely taking a break for a spell.

We decided to take a chance on Big Bad Breakfast during the Cornbread Festival and man, am I glad…read morewe did! I was a little hesitant since we were in a new town and everything was packed, but this place totally delivered. The omelet was fluffy and packed with flavor, and the French toast... well, I wasn't expecting it to be deep fried but holy cow it worked. Crispy on the outside, soft and sweet inside, and absolutely addictive. The service was quick and friendly even with the festival crowds, and the vibe inside is fun and casual exactly what you want for breakfast. Portions are generous too, so we left stuffed and happy. If you're in the area, definitely stop by. We even walked over to the Lodge Museum afterward and made a whole morning out of it.

We were visiting Chattanooga and thought it would be fun to check out the Lodge Cast Iron Museum,…read moreso naturally we ate at Big Bad Breakfast while there. It was a random weekday morning, so it was really quiet. Our waitress was super nice and attentive. It's a casual place, with lots of tv's. I had a hard time choosing between the Yard Work Skillet and the Cornbread Omelet, but I figured where else would I find a cornbread omelet? It was SO yummy. I got the bacon on the side because I don't eat it, but there was a lovely amount of veggies and just the right amount of cheese. The cornbread eggs had such an interesting flavor. I got the cheese grits on the side which were a little spicy and deliciously creamy. My gf got a breakfast plate and thought it was good. The crispy hash cake was ok but a little dense. I ended up eating her biscuit the next day and it was really good.

I was really looking forward to a good meal. I was greeted by a friendly hostess and promptly seated. For my meal, I chose the Country pot roast with my two sides being sweet carrots and baked cinnamon apples ($15.49). I also got the grilled sourdough bread in lieu of biscuits or rolls. Coffee was my choice of beverage ($3.49). The food came out in hardly no time at all and it was piping hot. The pot roast was delicious - truly a great comfort food when on a long road trip! The carrots and apples were excellent and the grilled sourdough was fresh, hot, and perfect! I thoroughly enjoyed my meal. It was a relaxing atmosphere as there were very few customers and this made for a quiet and pleasant experience. This place gets 5 stars by me. Give them a try.

I personally think that sometimes policy is not always for the best interest of the establishment though and in certain humanitarian situations it should not require questioning. As for pick up orders every time I have ordered I am missing utensils, condiments and some times more than not I am missing a side. For what this establishment is for our town, it is very well maintained as one of our top sit down restaurants in Manchester. If I see or hear anything different than what I have experienced I will change my review.

We also hired Jay as our mixologist. The folks loved ordering from him. Our 2 servers made sure everyone was served and cleaned up throughout the evening. Once all of our guests had gone home and the CRAVE crew was going, I simply washed my crockpot out from my dish and you would never have know 50 people were in our home. I would 100% use CRAVE again. Sam, our coordinator, really helped us drill the menu options down and I could not have asked for a more perfect night.

The service from Kayla Pearson and her other female counterpart, was completely unacceptable and unprofessional. They were rude with 2 of my sisters as well as one of my guests, who was scolded for taking too much chicken. The servers couldn't be bothered to clear about 1/2 of our guests' plates. They were compostable bamboo, so all they had to do was clear and toss. But, they did not. We had agreed that CRAVE would bring some whimsical birdcages and stuff like that to decorate with. That did not happen. Then the two severs who were on staff asked to leave two hours before the agreed upon time, after already half-assing their jobs. They complained about putting SIX bottles of sparkling wine in ice for us and did not help with cake service as was agreed upon. As I said, the bartender was literally the best part of the entire CRAVE experience. I worked in the hospitality industry for over 20 years, so I know it can be the pits, but this had to be one of the easiest catering gigs and the two servers assigned to our wedding, as well as CRAVE catering really dropped the ball. Instead of alleviating the pressure and stress of one of the busiest (and best) days of my life, they added to it. I work too hard to let this slide. I would recommend Jay as a bartender anytime. I cannot say the same for any other part of the CRAVE team.
