I tried the coffee, chocolate, honey vanilla, coconut, grasshopper and butter beer. The atmosphere is pretty nice here and you can tell they have been here several years as the place is decked out with decor, plants and local artwork. My favorite was the grasshopper since it was loaded with ingredients and tasted almost like an ice cream instead. I also sampled the caramel macchiato iced latte and this was just ok. As other reviewers noted, they do not like you to sample the gelato prior to ordering, which I don't really like. I think they just need to have another person working behind the counter. Inside is lots of seating for either your small or large groups.

Southern Coffee House had an extensive coffee menu, a drive through, and enchanting inside and outside seating. It is hard to believe that this itty-bitty place is in the middle of a small town and not one of the bigger Texas cities. I ordered one of their deliciously flavored coffees from the drive-through, but I had to stop and check out the place. I was completely won over. I have to say that in addition to the excellent coffee and amazing décor, it had the most charming and likeable employees. These two young ladies went out of their way to give us more information about Southern Coffee and a tour of place. They were so sweet, friendly, and helpful, I would go again based on service alone. I really think that this is an ideal stop and will make it a point to visit again whenever I'm in the area.

They have a real half sausage link in them. Kind of savory but the dough is sweet. They go very well together. My daughter ordered the cinnamon roll and that thing was enormous and delicious. The negative part was how tempting the bbq was so early in the morning. But my son in law was able to order pork ribs at 10 am ! These were very smoky and well cooked. The menu had lots to offer.
