I was then informed that the consultation fee was non-refundable. At no time during the call was I advised that canceling the appointment would result in forfeiture of the fee. Although the office later refunded my payment as a "one-time courtesy," I do not believe a courtesy was warranted. I believe I was entitled to a refund because I received no services and never agreed to forfeit my payment under those circumstances. While I have been pleased with the medical care provided by the physicians, I found the office's business practices regarding consultation fees to be unfair and lacking in transparency. I hope the office clearly discloses this policy to future patients before accepting payment.

This isn't even the first time this has happened--previously, they told me the same thing, then later admitted it was a mistake and that I did in fact have sessions left. This time, they said they needed to "review my account" and would get back to me... and they never did. Now I'm stuck with a partially faded tattoo that isn't fully removed, after investing a significant amount of money and time. The lack of organization, accountability, and follow-through is honestly unacceptable for a company at this price point. If you're considering LaserAway, I would strongly recommend keeping detailed records of every session and communication, because clearly their internal tracking system is unreliable.
