After having tried so many tacos in San Diego, I decided it was time for a refreshment of fruits…read more We saw this fruit truck a few days ago with a large line, so we gave it a shot. Their menu is in Spanish and does not list prices, so you may need to ask them for clarification. The truck is known to make everything "loko," meaning they will add chili powder, an assortment of mexican candies, chamoy (hot sauce made of pickled fruit), and peanuts to your fruit of choice. I've been craving a fresh coconut and have been dying to sip one out of it's shell, so I had one non-loko. My coconut was good; pure and fresh as I imagined. After finishing the juice, the guy offered to open up the coconut some more so that I can have the coconut meat. He admitted there was not much meat in the coconut, so he told me to grab another one and he would just add the meat from there to my coconut. My boyfriend got the clamato with shrimp. There was about 8 pieces of average sized shrimp floating in a pool of diced cucumbers and tangy tomato juice. It was interesting and we both liked it, but we didn't think the price was worth it. We ended up paying $15 for two items and in my opinion it was a bit expensive, considering my coconut wasn't "loko."
