A challenging project where they had to have nearly 50 ft of retaining wall adding gravel and dirt so as to account for steep existing slope in my backyard Baja's team of five installers were pros and craftsman. Their attention to detail awesome and clearly they have worked a significant amount of time together as I witnessed first hand their teamwork. The owner 'Mo' was attentive and spent a few hours on install day with the crew. In some cases where there were challenges (working around my fence), the crew professionally came to me with options and diligently implemented them that same day. We hired Baja to install our patio - they were great! We had a pretty specific design in mind and they worked with us to make it happen. Quality and craftsmanship was excellent, they even circled back to fix a few imperfections we noticed. Baja also has a very friendly staff who answered all of our questions without trying to up sell. Concrete work they do is excellent, but do NOT ask them to do any drainage. Their lack of care and skill in placing in a drain is beyond incompetent. I have been trying to get is fixed for over two weeks and they still can't get it right. The first few days after placing it in they had sent someone out twice beyond the original visit and still fail to get it done right. Do NOT have them work any drainage, hire someone else if that is what you are looking for. read more

They did a great job on the sidewalk to our dock. They went over and above on a job that was a littel more difficult than they anticipated due to all the roots vines and the steep hill. They did not try to upcharge us for the extra work and materials. I will deffiently use them again! read more

We couldn't be happier with the work Baja just completed on our South Charlotte home. Full driveway, walkway, and a new structural pad with footings and curb. The owner Mo was constantly in communication and answered a host of questions as courteously as one could ask. His advice helped us not only pass code inspections, but has been helpful on our construction project as a whole. Mo made sure to be onsite every day to answer Qs and keep the job moving. His crews showed up early, took extra trips as needed, and finished the job on time and on budget, despite some last-minute changes. They took care of some drainage issues as well by re-grading with obvious experience. The project was smooth, and I would strongly recommend them to anyone needing a great job at a great price by a friendly and helpful company. read more

If I could leave a zero star review, I would. Our experience was terrible! Concrete decking isn't squared up to our building, so now the retaining wall is off too. They bowed a pool wall with their equipment, buggied the concrete up our driveway rather than pumping it (so he could save money), only had three guys on our job, concrete was splattered all over our handrail and ladder, cracks surfaced within two days of the pour, along with a hole, boot prints and fingerprints. When they showed up to make the cuts, put another coat of color on and seal the concrete.. improper cuts were made and they brought the wrong color! Took the owner 11 and a half weeks to come out and address these issues and all he offered was a refund of $500 so we could do it ourselves. Had to hire someone else to finish the job Baja was responsible for, and paid $6,500 - this man made the proper cuts, repaired the cracks & hole, colored and sealed the concrete.. so a $9,808 job ended up costing us $16,221! We got a $6,500 judgment in court on 2/9/22 and he has yet to pay a dime... but he's buying a new boat!?! We have also been in contact with other unhappy customers who plan to sue as well. Baja lost all business of Passmore Pools and Passmore been using Baja for 15 years! People, BEWARE!!! read more

The representative that came out to do the quote was knowledgeable and helpful. Baja Concrete did an excellent job on the actual concrete work. However, the did not really respect our property. The rinsed out concrete buckets in the front yard, leaving small patches of dried concrete in the grass. They rinsed out the concrete truck spout next to the driveway, leaving a mess of mud, concrete sludge and gravel. They damaged our asphalt driveway where the concrete was attached ( this driveway was poured less than years ago). It took multiple phone calls before the came back to clean up and pressure wash the driveway. Even then, there was still a mess left over. If you are using them for a new construction site the work is great. As a homeowner, there was a lot of mess left. Oh... and this happened right at Christmas. So we had company and children while this mess was around. read more

We expanded our driveway in length and width and are very happy with the results!! Shaun was very friendly and pleasant and was quick to answer questions. The crew was quick, efficient, and courteous. We had some weather delays, but that cannot be helped. We also had some minor scheduling issues that were quickly fixed. However, after one of their hired subcontractor destroyed our $24,000 driveway but driving over it when it was wet, we were left with nothing but then passing the buck, and ultimately ignored. They were fast in cashing our check and providing us with encouraging lip service but ghosting us when I tried to find a fair resolve. I would not recommend this company for these reasons. read more

Baja concrete was hired to pour a 35-37 yard driveway for us a few months ago. Our driveway looked awesome up until now. The driveway is spider cracked everywhere. Saw cuts are not deep enough, no expansion joints, and cuts are 12-14ft apart. We feel like we got robbed the way our driveway looks. People beware, spend your money elsewhere and get a better job than what we got. Our driveway looks horrible. read more

We had Baja Concrete pour a new driveway at our Cotswold home more than 5 years ago and just today had them pour a large driveway extension at our new Cotswold home. We are just as impressed today as we were 5 years ago with the quality and speed of the work they do. Mo, Maria and the entire Baja staff were extremely thorough and easy to work with. These guys did an ok job on my driveway - but their workers have no respect for people's property. They also did my neighbor's patio and brought the concrete through MY YARD!!!! they left two ruts in my tiny front lawn and now it looks awful!!! They also tore up my back yard with their Bobcat when digging out my neighbors patio. I called Mo and all he seemed to be concerned about was "getting past this" and getting his money. He said I was making a mountain out of a mole hill!! The problem is when you have a front yard as tiny as mine, even the mole hills stand out like a sore thumb. He wanted to come and fix my yard himself and got annoyed when I wanted to have a professional landscaper look at it. These guys do concrete, not yards. Also, my date kept getting pushed back due to rain and cold and them being busy. No one ever called me to let me know - I had to follow up with them and when I asked 'when' they kept giving what sounded like excuses about being behind, etc, etc. I kept asking them to at least call me and let me know when the date changes and never once did they. VERY unprofessional. I do not recommend them at all. read more

I called this company to get a quote on some concrete driveway work. When I called to request an estimate I spoke with a Mo Sandoval. He said he would come out to do an estimate and we schedule a date and time for us to meet at our house. He never showed up, never called to say he was not coming or anything. I waited and then called him and he said he forgot. I was upset and told him to just come out and take a look at our driveway without me being at my house. He actually did finally come by and gave me an estimate. The estimate was cheaper than the other two quotes i got so I decided to go with Baja Concrete. What a mistake that was. We scheduled a date and time for them to do the work. I called the day before our scheduled date and time and left a voicemail. Mo called me back and said that he would not be able to make it that day as he forgot to set up the concrete to be available the next day. I told him I was very upset but he did apologize and said he would order the concrete the next few days and would call me back to verify that he did so. We scheduled another date and time actually a week from the original date for them to come out and do the work. I never got a call from Mo confirming that he had ordered the concrete. I called him and left another voicemail. He finally called me back two days later stating he did actually order the concrete and had it set up for our second scheduled date and time. Well today has come and gone and still no sign of Mo. He was supposed to arrive this morning but 6 hours later and no concrete driveway, no call from Mo, nothing. I truly cannot believe how incompetent this person/company is. It is amazing that they are still in business. They are the worst company i have ever dealt with in terms of following up and actually doing the work. If they do show up i will simply refuse the work. I doubt they will show up. I am still waiting for a call back after leaving two voicemails. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY!!!!!!!! read more

Called Baja Concrete 8/10/17 to get an estimate for a 10'x10' poured concrete slab patio. I asked the lady who answered the phone if they needed to come out to the home to complete the estimate. She said no and told me it would be between $1,850 - $2,000. Yeah right. In what fantasy land does she think it costs $20 a sqft without any grading? Perhaps up-charging for a small job? In any case, based upon that outrageous quote, I give them 1 star. read more
