The chorizo shrimp burrito was way better than I expected- lots of very fresh tasting shrimp. Tasty. Pricey for a burrito, but what do you expect at killington? Good beer selection on tap. Chips and salsa homemade, free, good. Waitress nicely put up with our lame drunken humor. read more

Very bad for multiples reasons. 1) service was pretty bad had to ask for our drinks after 15 minutes multiple times. Multiple food orders were wrong or missing when that finally came. 2) when the food came it was just mediocre or worse for some. 3) when we looked at the check the next day (big mistake) we were charge for 5 more drinks than we had actually ordered. Not sure if that's because they wanted to screw us or our waitress was hammered. Probably both. Avoid this place like the plague. read more

I love this place. Service is always fast and friendly. I don't know what people are talking about with some of the negative reviews. The food seems very good quality always delicious. Never bothers me like some places on this mountain. whenever I ski in Killington, I eat here several times. Drinks are Great, this is the place for margaritas read more

Couldn't stand the care less attitude of the waitress so we decided to spend our money at an establishment that was grateful for our business. Will never step foot in there again. read more

Worst rest. on the mountain! Both in food ,service and attitudes! We will never spend a penny there again ! Went there for drinks and some food and were left standing at the door until another customer said just take a seat . But while doing so we were chastised by a wicked mouthy ugly waitron with no customer service skills whatsoever. We sat quietly and noone came to give is menus . Like almost thirty minutes of waiting. And mind you it was not busy . Then we went to grab our own menu and same ugly bad attitude waitron yelled at us asking if we were gonna serve ourselves now as well! We stopped turned around and looked her ugly mug in the face and said yea we are serving ourselves right the hell outta here . And then waitron with a busser and a manager bullied us all the way out the door read more

Just had the flank steak tacos yesterday - soooo good. All the ingredients are made fresh daily by chef / owner. Friendliest place on the mountain. Home made hot sauces... Chips made the way they are made in Mexico.. ... I lived in Mexico and always missed the home made chips until I was able to get them again at the Baja...best with the fresh guacamole. read more

Definitely a hidden gem. The ingredients are so fresh you'd think they were just picked. The flavor of their food is ridiculous. The bartender, service and other patrons are extremely friendly. Don't drive by. This is a must stop. A family hometown feel with top notch food and drinks. We stopped in one night after going to dinner somewhere else for a nightcap. Looked at the menu and said we will be back. We watched the cook from our bar seats. We will definitely come back. We tried a few other restaurants in the area and won't mention names but our meals were cold although the food flavors were good. Again, give this establishment a chance. You will not be disappointed. Absolutely love it!!! read more

Went yesterday, no iced tea. The bartender seemed instantly annoyed that I don't drink alcohol. I was asking if they had iced tea, hot tea, any tea, I'm sorry but I can't drink alcohol, sorry to upset the guy. As I'm inquiring about tea the bartender, 50ish, beard, like most of the people around here, this guy cuts me off "we have fountain soda" and the starts rattling off names of fountain sodas which I also can't drink, that's why I was asking about tea. He recommends a burrito and serves it to me, I look in the condiment caddy and there's no hot sauce, no hot sauce in the condiment caddy in a burrito place ! So I ask for hot sauce and suddenly he pulls 2 bottles from under the bar and starts talking my ear off about how they are "chef owned, that's why he makes all the hot sauce, we serve two kinds...blah, blah, blah" I woulda never got any hot sauce if I hadn't of asked because the guy clearly stopped caring about me once he realized that he wouldn't be selling me any beers, one and done. I'll never go back. The burrito was thick with dough, I thought these idiots had served me a calzone by mistake read more

Loved this place. There for 4 nights (at attached "Chalet Killington"). Went there every night after skiing for Happy Hour. House Margaritas with Grandma floater ($7... not bad) were awesome. Friendly bartenders. Great atmosphere. Wings good. Food looked great as it came out. Didn't eat there much but people seemed to be enjoying themselves. Very convenient for hotel guests. read more

Baja Burrito - Nice selection. Typical Ski area prices. - Mexican Near Me - Killington, Vermont

Locally owned and operated. Great food. Great music. Phenomenal staff and vibe. Would recommend for a low key fiesta. Try their Margs and Chimis read more

Excellent service on a Saturday ski day. Super quickly seated and good came out fast. Server checked in multiple times. Baja fish tacos excellent and tasty with the house made habinero maple sauce. Veggie burrito- was just ok read more

I would never recommend this place or go again. Someone told me in advance that it's not great but I went thinking how bad can anyone make a taco. The basic tacos had about as much meat in it as a thimble. The price was 2.5 times of a taco place in a non-resort location. I'd pretty much be ok with the resort price if the tacos were good and actually filled with meat. I've only been to Taco Bell once in my life and Taco Bell was a 10 compared to this place. read more

Curiosity drew me to try to experience what "mountain Mexican" was. I think I'd have been better off eating the ice chips off the bottom of my car. Our wonderful waitress described the water she delivered as the "boring" part of the meal. Little did we know it would also serve as the palatable part of the meal. My blood orange "margarita" was delivered with no ice or salt and tasted like someone squeezed the juice out of their sweat-soaked snowboarding socks. They wanted $6 for a second basket of chips which had enough salt to kill an adult horse - maybe that's why the "margarita" didn't have any. The pork enchilada certainly may have looked correct to someone who has never had an enchilada. Or heard of one. Perhaps they could consider adding *any* amount of flavor. I ate the meal out of desperation because I was hungry. I wish I had starved instead. The decorations were nice, though. read more

Great new location on the Killington Road! Can't miss it with its bright yellow sign!! Definitely worth stopping in! The chef/owner Tom's, fresh baked wings are the best in the area! Baja relocated up the road from it former location. The new space is amazing. The shrimp and chorizo burrito is awesome, wings legendary and margaritas are great. You need to come here. Owner Tom Bartlett is working the kitchen and Marissa or Ewin will be working the bar. They all are professional, fun and considerate. Baja's Mountain Mexican cuisine is a nice spin on traditional Mexican food. Enjoy. read more

Got the order wrong on a pick up order and not apologetic. Not worth the money and bad service

Their website says eat in or take out. Tried to call for a take out order but no one picked up. Drove to the restaurant and asked if it was possible to get take out. I was rudely told no. I could not understand why because there was only about 15-20 people at the bar and no tables were taken. Very disappointed read more

Yo, this place has the worst Mexican food I've ever tried. I ate my $15 veggie burrito because I was starving, but it was so bland it was like eating nothing. I dumped their house hot sauces on the burrito hoping for some flavor, but it was the most basic flavor profile I've ever had in hot sauces. One was mango forward, the other was chipotle forward, neither was labeled, neither had anything else going on. The nachos had barely any refried beans, almost zero salsa(which was also bland) and both items seemed like a cheese famine was in effect, also the chips are trash. 0-5 ratings Presentation: 0 Taste: 0 Value: 0 Service: 2 BasicBitch-ness: 5 Music: 4 Those of you who know me, know I hate Killington, I now also hate Killington food. After some asking, the waitress (who sounded afraid for her job) reluctantly voided the nachos which were basically uneaten/inedible. read more

We won't be back. Food was nothing special but prices were ridiculously high, even for Killington. Burritos were around $15. One of us got a bean/rice/cheese burrito and it was really pretty basic, and hardly filled. $9 for kids menu quesadilla is excessive. Margaritas were good, but small and very expensive - $16 is really over the top. Service was very friendly. Black bean soup was flavorful. My star rating is due to the price vs. product equation. At those prices I expect more and there are much better flavor and value options within just a few hundred feet. In hindsight I wish I had read the reviews and made a different choice for dinner. read more

Great atmosphere inside but the food is very mediocre. Went with a couple people in the group, some were vegetarian and they didn't like their food at all (veggie enchiladas and veggie tacos) but the chicken enchiladas were the best out of all the items we tried. 1 free complimentary side of chips and salsa with dine in. read more

Baja Burrito - Chicken Enchiladas - Mexican Near Me - Killington, Vermont

I didn't know it was possible to screw up Mexican food this badly. I ordered enchiladas and they were dry and completely tasteless. I don't even know how they did that! All I tasted was onions and sour cream. I ordered a hard cider and got a can with no glass, while my friend got a corona with no lime. We asked for lime TWICE and ended up asking another waitress cause ours completely forgot. My mouth feels dry somehow after this meal. Easily the worst Mexican food I've ever had, oh and did I mention it was just as expensive as upscale mexican places I've been to in New York City?? I'm mad and sad at the same time. Please never go here. read more

Stayed at the Chalet with my brother while in town skiing and had a good burrito and some beers. My brother had the enchiladas and said they were good as well. The breakfast the next morning was served in the bar ,and again, a very good dining experience. 4 stars for food and service. read more

Food was fabulous! Service was excellent! Highly recommended . But this yelp is a pain 22 words . Really

Food was 'OK'. Stayed for 4 nights at the attached hotel. Unfortunately the two bartenders/servers there were awful. I've been serving for over 10 years and this might have been the worst service I've ever had. Asked twice to see a menu and was ignored both times. Long story short, we left hungry. Hotel and morning cook were great for the price... night time bartenders not so much. I was on vacation trying to enjoy my time, but they must have know I wasn't a local. read more

A really lax, low-key restaurant. It's a cool place to grab food and drinks after a day out on the slopes. Happy hour is from 3-6pm. When my friend and I went, burritos were $10 each during the HH period. I saw they had wings specials and beer specials but didn't read too much into it. They give you free chips and salsa (salsa is spicy, not mild like pico de gallo) Entrance is on the right side of the hotel (the restaurant is connected to a hotel) and there is ample amount of parking. If you are using a chip card they can only run the amount once so the waitress will ask you for the total amount that you'd want to charge (so you'll have to tell her the amount including tip if you are not tipping in cash). read more

Went here after a day of skiing and the bartender was very nice , friendly and welcoming! Great drinks - the wings were "twice baked" / not fried and delicious. The chicken tacos were simple quick and delicious. Definitely will be back here!! read more

Baja Burrito - Margaritas! - Mexican Near Me - Killington, Vermont

Decent place for burritos, tacos and nachos. The girls seemed to enjoy the mixed drinks. Burritos are huge and filled with cheese. The home made salsa is mediocre. The guac is okay, but small. read more

Stopped in after skiing, good service but the food was disappointing and over priced. They charge $6.00 dollars after the first basket of chips. Total bill was 80 dollars for 2 beers, 1 fajitas, 1 extremely dry burrito, chicken wings 1/2 price ($13.00) and a kids taco. Overall just overpriced for the food. This place would be packed if they cut the prices in half and advertised it. I understand it's a resort town, but Mexican food should not be 80 bucks for two kids and two adults. read more

So looking at the reviews, we thought, why not? When we get there everything was pretty good and the salsa and chips were very good. The service was pretty slow though. When I got a beef burrito, it had absolutely no flavor and it was like eating cardboard. When I was ordering my food the waiter walked away and I felt very disrespected. Won't and will never come back. Also food was completely overpriced. read more

I would probably give this place 3.5 stars if I could, but I'll round up. My husband and I stayed at The Chalet and this restaurant is inside of the lodge. Super convenient for us because we have a newborn and it was nice to just walk down the hall to go out to eat. My husband ordered the enchiladas and I ordered the steak fajitas. We were also served free chips and salsa, along with some maple habanero sauce. The meals were tasty, as were the margaritas. The meal was a little pricey, but everything in Killington seems to be a little overpriced. All in all, good food, good service. We would return again. read more

This place is horrible. Don't go. If I could give it zero stars I would. 1) the food quality is sub sub par. It's not even mexican. 2) it takes forever to get your order. 3) I ordered the Huevo Rancheros, and swear it was 2 eggs with spaghetti sauce poured over the eggs... it was Grose... it was disgusting! And they charge $18.00 for the rancid little entree. Move on folks. ... nothing to see here.. read more

Dear God please do not let us get food poisoning from the little that we did eat. The beef tacos were swimming in a plate of water and the enchiladas were an odd texture. It was a bad sign when we were told the burritos can not have substitutes because they are pre-rolled. It seemed like everything was frozen, refrigerated and microwaved when ordered. read more

After waiting over an hour for our food, we still had hopes that if our meals were incredible, our sour mood would be alleviated. It wasn't. Each person in my six person party was severely let down by their dishes. Contents in the burritos, tacos, and fajitas were all the same and were viewed as "tasteless", "bland", and "cheap". That means low quality vegetable ingredients and cafeteria chicken. One point worth noting was their great selection of locally made hot sauces, but with no affiliation to the restaurant itself and some of the worst excuses for tortilla chips I've ever been served - a bag of tostito's would put shame to these soggy corn flakes - this is not much of a victory. If you're still looking for reasons not to go to Baja, the service was awful. Even upon solicitation from our party, the waitress and hostess together could not keep our beverages filled or our questions answered as to the status of our meals. read more

Food was ok and questionable. Service was lacking. I would not return. Decor and margaritas was really nice.

They ran out of rice! A Mexican restaurant ran out of rice yet somehow when my burrito came it was filled with 90% rice. Pre-made? Our server was very nice but the manager actually came over and scolded my table for saying the margaritas were too sweet. read more
