Great pharmacists that go the extra mile for me. They help navigate thru my insurance and save me money almost every month.

If I could give negative stars that evaporate any positive stars, I would…read more I rushed into the pharmacy today to get insulin for my dog (Layla). I was allowed to cut in line in front of the three people I asked and explained my situation (my fur baby was weak, having seizures, blindness, and couldn't stand and her blood sugar tested 533). My dog (of 8 years) was more than likely dying back at home! This is our first encounter with diabetes in our fur baby. At first it seemed like the person at the counter was going to help but when she came back empty handed I knew something was off. I was told that, "we've already put the insulin away and can't get it out". So basically they've put it away and my bad timing and the rapid approaching hurricane (I was there 15-20 minutes before their early closing) equalled no insulin for my critical canine. I promptly walked away after doubling down and asking if they were sure they couldn't get it for me. They didn't. So I gave them the sarcastic thumbs up and got the hell out of there and went to WalGreens instead. The pharmacist there said he couldn't believe that and said he's sorry that it was super expensive there (Walgreens). I didn't give a damn at that point, my dog needed the meds an hour ago. I paid the larger sum ($160 vs Walmarts $27) and got out of there to administer it back at home. My wife called Walmart to complain and was told the same thing. It was put away and not going to be gotten for anyone, humans included. She had this confirmed with the pharmacist on duty there. So if a person that needed a cheaper vial of insulin had come up there and needed it to get through this storm, they wouldn't get it. These people would rather let another person (or dog) die instead of taking 5 minutes (plenty before the early closing) to get what was needed. Keep in mind nothing online reflected the early closing time. I understand that people who are working right now are nervous and ready to get home but five more minutes to ensure that someone or someone's furbaby makes it through the night is worth it in my eyes. This was not the case here. All I got was a "sorry". Sorry my family member is dying and you can't get ANYONE AT ALL to at least try and get a vial. This is not ok and corporate will be aware asap.
