Zero STARS- Price gouging and take advantage of people. My son was in a rollover accident and they charged from the time the call was received until they got back. They did not charge from time driver left to go to car. They obviously have contract with CHP and can charge whatever they want. So unfortunately you may not be given a choice. Our service members live on this base and God forbid they are in a terrible accident, Lets not rip them off! Inaccurate receipt documentation and prices that are far too high for services rendered. These people own both a mechanic shop and this towing company here in 29 Palms. The prices quoted are outrageous (borderline price gouging). The receptionist name Diane leaves much to be desired in how a potential customer is handled. As a company your goal should be to secure business and treat people well. Being in your 50's-60's and having an attitude problem is not acceptable. If you're in 29 Palms, definitely use B&B. read more

Had to get a tow out of a 4x4 road that we had mistakenly taken our Toyota Tacoma (2wd) down and got stuck. We were quoted almost double by a competitor and got ahold of David thank god and he got us out. We didn't have any other option and he made sure we were all good. Thanks again!!! This is another business that is customer-service based. You don't leave here with a dress, or a pair of shoes or having eaten a meal. You leave here with the memory of how you were treated. I am thinking that their remote location makes them think they have a captive audience and they can do whatever they want to people. The whole lot of them are rude, unfriendly and definitely not worried about whether you come back or not!! Use Hills....they care about their customer!! read more

My friend and I got our car stuck out in a wash in the desert and gave Baileys a call at 6:50 am. David got out to us in 30 min, assessed the situation, and then planned a route to get us out of there and back on to the main road. David was professional and explained everything he was doing. I will not bring my car here because they keep their poor "watch dog" outside in a tiny cement runner ALL DAY LONG. It is 105 in the shade and he has a small metal box to lay under. It is sad and cruel. I drive by there at least 4 times a day and the dog is miserable. Take your car somewhere else. read more

Do NOT use this company! My husband and I have AAA towing, so when our truck's transmission broke on highway 62, east of 29 Palms, we called for a tow truck and the truck that came was from Bailey's. The driver seemed totally nice and said we could leave our truck parked in the driveway of their business. We told him we were going to get another car and still head off to the CO river (where we were originally headed), so he knew we had no intention of dealing with our towed truck until after the weekend, and he assured us it was no problem. Well, after our trip, we called about our truck, letting them know that we were going to have it towed home, and the very, very mean and rude female owner told us our truck had been moved to the back and we had to pay to get it out!...Long story, short, we went down there and she was even meaner, and on top of trying to charge us for moving our truck to the back (after the tow truck driver assured us it was fine, which we believed because there are actually still "small town," kind folks out in the high desert, and we thought he was one of them!), this lady charged us for days when our truck was not even parked back there! We know this because we saw our truck still parked out front on the way home from the river! To get our truck back, we paid the crazy fee with a credit card, knowing it was much smarter to do that if we ever wanted the charge reversed, and we filed a complaint with AAA and provided evidence for our case, and low and behold the charge was reversed within a week with no comment ever from the horrible owners! I can only guess that the owners knew enough not to jeopardise their AAA affiliation! I do not know for sure if the whole "nice tow truck driver offers a place to park" thing is an intentional scam they use often or if the driver was just too afraid to tell the owner what he had done, but at any rate, it was ridiculous! Do not let this company tow your car to their place! Do not let them work on your car! Check out Google reviews, you'll see even more horrible things they've done! And check out The Better Business Bureau; they have an F rating! My theory is they only stay in business because they trap Hwy 62 travelers and the constant turn-over of population in 29 due to the military population. If you don't believe me - go in there and just ask the female owner for directions or some other question, just to get a dose of her personality! Scary!! read more
