Battery: dead Schedule: busy…read moreAvailability to take car to dealer: no Mobile service needed: yes Prymo did a fairly primo job for me. My car, like many cars that are on the market today, has tons of bells and whistles, so adding a battery means doing a reset and reprogram. Guess what? I don't have the tools or the knowledge on how to do that. Could I change a battery many years ago? Absolutely! Could I change a battery now? No way... That's why I needed someone with the tools, the know-how, and the availability. I put in a request via Yelp to get a project started, and Prymo was the first to respond and had availability the next morning. They sent a tech to my house, he quickly diagnosed that the battery had no charge left, even though I had a jump the day before, and he commenced replacement. I didn't have to do anything other than do what I usually do, which is work from home. Fast-forward a half-hour and the job was done. I had a new battery, the tech had reprogrammed everything to its proper state, and he was on his way. Prymo accepts debit and credit, though a credit card purchase will come with a 3% charge, which is very fair since that's what the banks stick to the business. It wasn't cheap, but most of the cost was in the actual battery itself, which came with a five-year warranty. Great response, simple to navigate and schedule, and the tech was professional and skilled. Great experience and highly recommend if you're in the same situation.

I had them try to fix it, and they did nothing again the second time around, so on the third go around, they told me to go to Dipman, and they'd cover the cost. It was good too, because the charge for a simple alignment was $136! It used to be a lot cheaper than that. I believe the last time I had an alignment done, it was around 80 to 100 bucks. Anyway, these guys at Dipman are very organized - which is key when considering hiring someone to work on anything you care about. It's a clean, professional shop. They took the job, and worked for about 30 minutes, roughly, then gave me back the car - and would you think it, nothing had been done about the steering wheel alignment! Again, I had to return, and literally all I asked anyone to do was straighten the steering wheel out like it was before I had my clutch replaced. The man at Dipman apologized, and said the steering wheel must have moved while they were straightening the points on the wheels. Yeah, I said. Moved right back to the place it was at before I got here almost an hour ago, while I stood in your parking lot in the hot sun. So they took it back, another 30 minutes passed, and they got it done. It's exactly balanced and square now. All things considered, I appreciate the cleanliness and accuracy of this place. Old school craftsmanship - almost. The one thing that separates the difference between the men of the before 'fore time and now is that, those men cared so much about their craft, they took that extra 5 minutes at the end to revel in their work, test it, stare at it, and make sure it was exactly perfect and correct. Either the world is moving too fast to care, or the craftsmen and women of this time period just don't care enough at all, but at least they made it right. They'd better, for $136.... I'd return to this place for work. They do it right.

I really wanted to love this shop based on their seemingly perfect 5-star rating. Service Advisor…read moreBrandon was excellent - professional, communicative, and the only reason this isn't a 1-star review. However, the pricing is simply "stratosphere" high. It eludes me how some comments indicate "fair pricing." I paid over $200 for a diagnostic ($80 for an initial inspection and an additional $119 for a cleanup/secondary inspection) just to identify an oil leak which was part of 4 additional leaks but the former was the lesser of the 4 evils. The issue turned out to be a bad Rear Main Seal which they came back at $4,300 based on 20.3 hours of labor. The explanation was that the engine and transmission both needed to be removed. After spending an afternoon consulting several other reputable shops, the highest quote I received was $2,750. Here's the kicker: On a hunch, I called a dealership to see how close they came to their price. How close? The dealership quoted me $2,901.05 out the door. By the way, all shops confirmed that a full "engine out" procedure is not the industry standard for this seal replacement. And even utilizing the latter method, the highest bid was for 16 hours. And yes, I shared with all shops and the dealership I called that my vehicle is AWD. Quotes for spark plugs ($450+) and O2 sensors ($1,100+) were equally jarring. While I understand shops have overhead, these prices felt like absolute highway robbery compared to market rates for the same OEM parts and repairs. I appreciated Brandon's transparency, communication, and calm demeanor, but I cannot reconcile the costs here. With these prices, I am honestly at a loss at their perfect 5-star reviews. I'll be taking my business elsewhere.
