My husband did some research and found this small, yet really beautiful beach just a few miles from Porto Cervo Marina, where we are staying. There are only about 3 parking spaces by the entrance​ and just a few more down the road. It's definitely not a huge populated beach​​, and that's precisely the reason why I absolutely loved it! Unlike beaches in the U.S., the beaches here tend to be more quiet​ and sedate. No frisbee throwing and volleyball with dogs running off-leash​. Just soft plushy white sand and dreamy Mediterranean blue waters in quiet surroundings. Aaaahh! ​

The hoards of tourists have gone and we pretty much shared the beach with a few other couples and families. Parking is not free apparently but we came during the off season and there was no one there to collect.

There are three different coves and each area is very small so if you want to find a spot head there early. There isn't that much sand and the water floor is covered with pebbles so for those with sensitive feet, remember to bring along water shoes. To reach the coves you have to drive a few minutes past the regular Lazzerretto beach and park on the side of the road. It is hard to tell where the entrance down to the coves are, but along the left-side you will see a sandier opening in a midst of trees. There is a rocky path down and you will eventually see the coves, only a 3 minute walk down. If you don't see anything, you've gone the wrong way!

There is as most beaches around Alghero sand to lay down and be dry in the sun. It gets deep a bit faster as other beaches but it's also better for snorkeling as most the other. There is a little snack place to buy gelato, pasta and other stuff, and one can rent a sun chair (?). One star less because it seems more crowded than other beaches but I don't see why?

It's special because the shallow part where you can stand in ankle-knee deep water last for a good 50 meter radius around the beach, so good for kids or also for playing games you'd normally play on the shore. Supposedly parking is rough - 2 euros per hour and that's IF you can find a spot. I heard horror stories of people driving for over an hour looking and even coming as early as 6am?! If you are not opposed to walking, we went towards the end of the day (5pm) and parked for free near the Asinara scuba diving center where we had to ask about dives, and then walked 1-2 km. You can either walk on the road down to Gabbiano beach, Pelosa beach, or la pelosetta beach, or you can walk along the rocks directly on the water. If you try this in the morning, they may charge you even in this lot, but at least you find a spot. After 5pm, no one was there to ask for money. I recommend going to la pelosetta and swimming across to the island with the ancient tower! Just watch out as it's super rocky near the tower island and would be easier with water shoes as its too shallow to swim but tricky to walk.

Once you reach downhill you will be rewarded with the most spectacular view. The waters here are tranquil and clear and white sands complete the perfect picture. The surrounding landscape is just as amazing. This spot is a must see.

A lovely beach with a great view over the bay. There are trees for shade and the sand is nice and…read morelight. It gets pretty crowded. There are a couple of bars/snack places to get food and a big carpark with an attendant. Both the beach bus and the local bus head out here. The local bus is cheaper and way faster, but they can fill up on busy days. To cycle out you follow the signs to Fertilia and then Maristella. It's about 10km out, mainly a flat route but there are a couple of hills at the end.
