The hoards of tourists have gone and we pretty much shared the beach with a few other couples and families. Parking is not free apparently but we came during the off season and there was no one there to collect.

My husband did some research and found this small, yet really beautiful beach just a few miles from Porto Cervo Marina, where we are staying. There are only about 3 parking spaces by the entrance​ and just a few more down the road. It's definitely not a huge populated beach​​, and that's precisely the reason why I absolutely loved it! Unlike beaches in the U.S., the beaches here tend to be more quiet​ and sedate. No frisbee throwing and volleyball with dogs running off-leash​. Just soft plushy white sand and dreamy Mediterranean blue waters in quiet surroundings. Aaaahh! ​

There are a couple of bars/snack places to get food and a big carpark with an attendant. Both the beach bus and the local bus head out here. The local bus is cheaper and way faster, but they can fill up on busy days. To cycle out you follow the signs to Fertilia and then Maristella. It's about 10km out, mainly a flat route but there are a couple of hills at the end.
