By the way, Wurzburg is a city in the region of Franconia in the north of the German state of Bavaria. I have not posted for quite a while but the DB employees at this station are the rudest I have ever…read moremet. One woman told me I must ask them to speak English, even though my question to them was an English. Also, for about 10 minutes prior to that, even though I'm the only one standing in the small room, 3 employees ignored me and waved out the window. My worst experience in my 3 months of travel in Germany.

From here to the old historic city center, Marktplatz square, it take a maximum of 10 minutes for you to reach at the old historic city in Rothenburg on your foot. There are several coin-operated lockers in this station. So, if you feel so heavy of your bag, you had better leave your bag in the lockers, and can easily get on sightseeing on the rural and peace old city of Rothenburg. I forgot the price of the lockers. In my case, I didn't use it because I left my suitcases in the hotel where I stayed. If you're coming from a larger city like Frankfurt or Munich, you'll likely have to make several train changes. Alternatively, you can buy your train ticket to the Ansbach station and take a bus 16 kilometers to Rothenburg.

This place is not bad for a small town train station. It has a bookstore with English magazines and…read moregood coffee and buns. I just dont like the set-up; how you must go downstairs and then upstairs again and again. It is really hard on the knees with bags and those elevators are SLOW so if you are in a hurry the steps are the only choice. If you are picking up somebody the parking is free for one hour so that is a plus.

They do have an ATM machine and their ticket machines do take credit cards with chips. You will have to go underground then up again for Tracks 3-9. This feels and looks like a safe train station at night. Unlike Wurzburg Hbf, I'm not scared of my life after dark. Not much for services here, but they just opened a new store at the station. Taxis are always there and its "walking" distace from Asker Manor.
