I have not posted for quite a while but the DB employees at this station are the rudest I have ever…read moremet. One woman told me I must ask them to speak English, even though my question to them was an English. Also, for about 10 minutes prior to that, even though I'm the only one standing in the small room, 3 employees ignored me and waved out the window. My worst experience in my 3 months of travel in Germany.

Across the street is a large station where you can catch a tram or bus. A little further down the road are the long distance bus station where you can catch busses to take you all across Europe. There is a large taxi stand out front of the main hall and cabs are always lined up ready to take you anywhere. There are of course ticket machines, but also a ticket office if you need help with trip planning or ticket purchases. There are plenty of restaurants and shops to hang out while you wait for your connections. A personal favorite of mine is the large bookstore. I shop there even if I am not travelling.

If you go to Rothenburg ob der Tauber, very famous tourist site by train, this station is main…read moregate. From here to the old historic city center, Marktplatz square, it take a maximum of 10 minutes for you to reach at the old historic city in Rothenburg on your foot. There are several coin-operated lockers in this station. So, if you feel so heavy of your bag, you had better leave your bag in the lockers, and can easily get on sightseeing on the rural and peace old city of Rothenburg. I forgot the price of the lockers. In my case, I didn't use it because I left my suitcases in the hotel where I stayed. If you're coming from a larger city like Frankfurt or Munich, you'll likely have to make several train changes. Alternatively, you can buy your train ticket to the Ansbach station and take a bus 16 kilometers to Rothenburg.

By the way, Wurzburg is a city in the region of Franconia in the north of the German state of Bavaria. And there is old University, Wuerzburg University near the station and this university has Roentgen-Museum.

Well, let's see…read more.. ...it's a train station ...it take's you places (well, the trains do...not the station) ...it's dirty and gritty ...you can buy your coffee to go and a bite to eat ...you can buy something to read on the road ...it's a train station, and not a nice one at that ...it's small and walking through this place is definitely not one of my favourite pastimes ...it's located in the city centre and everything is within easy reach ...but it's a train station, after all!
