She is very intuitive and will work those troubled areas if you're like me and our mantra is "Hurts So Good". I was thrilled to see the bars which allows Pen to walk up and down your spine. I'm almost in tears! (Happy tears) I was in so much pain in my shoulders, neck and back. When I left I felt immediately different. I could move better and the pain feels less. I've had massages before, though not regularly, but this one was so much better than any one I've ever had by far. She knows what she is doing. It's so obvious she is a professional with so much knowledge about Thai massage. I felt so comfortable there as well. I hesitate to leave this review because the more people who discover her, the less appointments that will be available :). I had the 60 min. head/shoulder/neck/back massage with an add on reflexology for 30 minutes. Many places I have going to in the past seem to short you some of your time. Like if I get a 60 minute massage, it's really 50 minutes. She did not do that. I got all the time. I'd give more than 5 stars if I was allowed to. read more

I came into town for a little "mama's retreat," and was unable to schedule a massage at my hotel. Best luck ever! I found Bahn Thai Massage via Yelp and was able to book a Thai/Swedish massage and reflexology treatment only a day or so in advance. Pen was amazing. She explained the reflexology treatment (my first but certainly not my last!) and gave me a wonderful massage. She was responsive to my needs and checked in frequently about pressure. I've had a lot of massages, but never one where the therapist used hot, damp towels at the end to warm your skin. It felt soooooo nice! Best massage I've had in ages! read more

This was by far the best Thai massage and foot reflexology I have every had. Pen knows what she is doing and is amazing. The gentleman at the front desk was warm and welcoming. Because I walked from my hotel he offered to give me a ride back which I thought was one of the nicest gestures. The facility is spotless! Prices are very reasonable. I will definitely come back here the next time I am in Newport. And I may just make a special trip to come down just to get another massage from Pen. Thank you! read more

Best Thai massage I ever had The owner know what she was doing. Had what I thought were Thai massages in the past. They were wanting. The stretching and light walking on my back. I mean lightly. Amazing. Wish I lived here . Please let this wonderful woman help you. Most deep massages I feel a bit beat up after not her. My two girlfriends and I were in town this week and after some hiking new we needed a massage. We all booked a foot reflexology treatment along with a massage. We all agreed it was AMAZING!!! "Pen" (I may be spelling that wrong), just gave me the overall best massage I've had in over 20 years--and I'm picky! I knew within 3 minutes after the massage began that I had found someone special. Her long sweeping strokes, skilled kneading and gently focusing on knots plus the way she expertly massaged my tense neck and back were phenomenal. I'm kind of a baby for pain so I told her to keep it more in the Swedish area for intensity but based on her abilities and knowledge, I may just let her go a little deeper next time. I walked out feeling like I was floating on a cloud...but before I did that I reserved appointments with her for every two weeks into October. Her partner Phil who mans the front desk and payment was very nice and helpful as well. All around 5 star experience at Bahn Thai and the price is reasonable. read more

As I saw a brochure at work about a Thai massage place I decided to try it out, I have not gotten a massage since April of 2021 in New York so it as much needed. And as soon as I stepped into the front door I was greeted by the gentleman at the reception desk he was kind and very welcoming and well informed about the types of massages they offer. Soon as I stepped into the room I was greeted by this sweet lady who was going to do the Thai fusion Swedish massage. I have never been so relaxed or comfortable while getting a massage she was so respectful and very good at removing knots from my body. I will definitely be back and encourage first timers and people who get massages on the regular you will not be disappointed. read more

Incredible Swedish massage from Pen. I had injured myself with a fall a couple of days earlier and was in tremendous pain. She found many problem areas and expertly and precisely worked on them. Her technique was strong and effective without causing me any pain to my injured body. I felt tremendously better when I left. She gave me an outstanding and pain and tension relieving massage. In addition she is an absolutely lovely and kind person. I'm already looking forward to my next visit and trying the Thai massage. I wish I could give her MORE than 5 stars!!! Thank you so much Pen!! My husband had very tight muscles and he said that she's the strongest massage therapist he's ever been too. They also serve the greatest tea while I waited for my husband. read more
