The place is nice. Drinks and appetizers were good, but the whole red snapper was not good whatsoever. Too tough and expensive.

For cocktail hour they served the sangria when we had chosen the blue hacienda. Minor things like that that were rather inconvenient but didn't ruin our day. I wish I didn't have to write this review, but after multiple emails, messages, and empty promises…read morethat someone would reach out, we've been completely ignored. Our wedding was in December, and it's now almost February--still no response from the venue or the owner. The issue? We paid extra for a higher-tier bar package, only to find that our bar signage was hidden, and the bartender had no idea how to make any of the drinks. Classic cocktails like Old Fashioneds and Negronis were made poorly (when they were made at all), and in the end, most guests resorted to drinking only wine, champagne, or beer--completely negating the premium package we paid for. We made menus for the drinks and they magically disappeared. To make matters worse, we were previously assured via email that the bartender was experienced, only to later find out that they were hired the day before the event. This level of unprofessionalism is unacceptable. We reached out multiple times to resolve this fairly, including requesting a partial refund for a service we didn't receive. We were met with silence. Someone on Instagram keeps telling us that "someone will reach out," yet here we are, still waiting. If you're considering this venue, be warned: they have no problem taking your money, but when an issue arises, they disappear. We expected better, and at the very least, a response. Mind you, the location is spectacular but the fact that they hired someone without experience to work a wedding is shady and unfair to the guests and couple who paid out of pocket to make this an experience. It was an experience but not one that we smile about when it comes to talking about the bar saturation . 90% of guests are all industry people. Thanks for not responding. I tried.

We could see the ocean from the rooftop patio, which is where we enjoyed hanging out to eat, drink, and talk. The kitchens are fully equipped w/everything you need to cook or snack (we had a local chef who was fantastic). The beds were comfortable and tastefully decorated. The rooms are also tastefully decorated but not cluttered. The description is true to fact. It is in the middle of a small village. The local bar, eateries, and beach are very close...short, pleasant walk. We also had relaxing massages on the beach. Our host Molly has a sweet, serene, honest spirit. She is very accommodating and there if you need anything. I liked it so much that I'm returning in a couple of months. Trina

While wandering around Old San Juan, we recognized the street name and decided it was time to secure our accommodations for the night. We entered and headed up to the second floor TV lounge where Tina greeted us and showed us a couple of rooms - she was doing a massive laundry load of sheets and saying she usually had help, but not today! The second and third floor each had 4-6 rooms, a full kitchen, 1 large & 1 small bathroom, and a balcony overlooking Calle Fontaleza. There are laundry facilities (I think these cost extra) and a small TV lounge, and there's almost ALWAYS someone who works for the hostel hanging out ready to help you if needed. The rates were reasonable - $40 for a double bed room with a window and fan, $50 for a double bed room with AC (which we took). They also had at least 1 room with 3 twin size beds - which was offered to us for $40, but I think they normally get more if 3 people stay in that room. Overall, super friendly, clean, felt safe, and we met some cool people as well.

We had a few ups and downs at the Andalucia that I will go through for your consideration!…read more The good: -The owners were VERY friendly and helpful. They were always there to give us toilet paper when we ran out and answer our questions. We didn't get to see them much since we were out and about, but the few times we did they were delightful. -There was a delicious restaurant (Kasalta) and beach (Ocean Park Beach) within walking distance. -Though the area wasn't the best, the gates all locked and only the guest had a key to unlock the gates and enter the premesis. -The rooms and beds were comfortable and the air conditioning worked very well. -The hot tub was delightful, warm, and a great place to relax. The not so good: -The area was a little sketchy. People hanging out on street corners and playing loud music all night. -The air coniditioning was a bit TOO cold, even when we had the knob switched to "off". But I'm sure if you just ask them to help with making this more comfortable, they will. -There was limited parking and one time, we had to park a block down on the sketchy, dark street. The other nights though, we got there just in time to see another guest pulling out so we could take their spots. Overall, we liked this guest house a lot. The area does seem a little scary, but right down the street a few miles is San Cristobal and Old San Juan. It is also very close to its own little beach. If you stay here you must eat at Kasalta and get one of the delicious sandwiches and a sweet treat too!
