On the search for some good açaí bowls close to my area I came across this little gem Bahia Bowls!!! I ordered on Uber eats so I can only speak about the açaí bowl not the establishment..... yet! I always get an açaí bowl with peanut butter omg so freaking good!!! The fruit was very fresh granola had the crunch I was looking for, banana, berries I want another one just writing about! This place can easily become my go to spot! Something else to add I literally ordered about 48 minutes before they closed. You would think a place would just throw together any old thing but what you see on the pictures I added was what I got! Perfection in a bowl! Will definitely recommend Bahia bowls to anyone who wants quality açaí bowls!

Bahia Bowls opened in Chestnut Hill right before the pandemic hit but its flavorful offerings are helping it survive. The bowls and smoothies are a perfect light lunch or snack. I especially like the fruit bowls with the Pitaya Bowl being my favorite. It is so tasty. Remember to stir it up when you go to eat it as the delicious pitaya is on the bottom. As Bahia Bowls is only a very short walk from where I live, I will be crossing its threshold many times. My taste buds and stomach will not be complaining!

Ordered a medium pitaya bowl and it was delicious. The honey was so sweet a bee wouldn't leave me alone for a good 5 minutes.

I assume this was related to delivery because when we ordered there didn't seem to be more than 10 customers total (including me and my 4 friends). It took exceptionally long for us to be served--at least half an hour. When I went to pick up my order, I heard another customer complain at the counter that they'd been waiting an hour! My friends ordered separately as a family, so their order was even later than mine. My friends were so frustrated and hungry that they went to the counter to cancel and get a refund. They were told the food would be out shortly. It was finally brought out a few minutes later. The staff seemed extremely young and inexperienced. It was clear they were overwhelmed. The entire time we were waiting, no one approached our table to give us a heads up about the wait or just to check in. It was clear that multiple customers were unhappy . Also, I was brought the wrong smoothie, but I was so hungry and annoyed by the time my food arrived that I didn't bother to have it corrected. I honestly didn't have the time to wait any longer. Unfortunately, I'm not sure if I'll be back.

I was sure to leave their establishment before 4 pm on this sleepy Sunday afternoon so they could go home. I saw customers with flat bread pizzas and the menu featured other savory dishes as well. I will definitely return to try more.

One in Chestnut Hill called MoMos Of Tibet came up in our searches, and we headed out. Not realizing that Chestnut Hill had a little food court/farmer's market style space, it was a pleasant surprise. Once we found it, we went in, and saw other restaurants we may want to come back for. But on that day, it was MoMos. The food from this spot is OK. Not much to say here, honestly. Was it good? It was okay, the momo's taste left a bit to be desired. Was really expecting more. Their size was SMALL. For the price you'll pay, they should be bigger. But hey, maybe this is the size the people who frequent there like. When we finished what we had, we were still hungry. The rice there was very good, but again for the price there should have been more. I really think they should have spicier momos. I understand the stall they have may not be big enough to accomodate, run, and maintain adding more to the menu. If this is the case, then I would suggest adding a momo (or two) to the current price offering. In a pinch, and if I don't feel like going into the city completely to get the best ones I've had so far, I would go back.

In Vienna, I have my go-to Tibetan and Nepalese eateries whenever I get a craving. And I have the same in Philadelphia - well not the Nepalese. This stand in the market usually has an offering of six different types of Momos. Recently I took home the beef, the butternut squash, and the spinach & potato nonos. Of course I asked for their hot sauce as well. They tasted good and hit the spot. Now in the future, the proprietor tells me he wants to make Tibetan Shapale for sale. We were immediately greeted with free samples: small cups of their signature yogurt creations and some candied fruit lollipops. We were searching for a dessert place, so would this 'cold-strained' yogurt satisfy our craving? The jury is still out. I'd use it more as a meal replacement (more like Playa Bowls type) than a dessert. If you're looking for cold like ice cream or frozen yogurt, Chums isn't quite up to that task. But as far as the yogurt itself, I really enjoyed it. It was flavorful and very dense. The cold-straining process created that denseness, which to me is better than the texture of regular yogurt. You can customize your toppings to make for a very satisfying treat. The base price for a yogurt bowl is a little pricey ($13 for our customized bowl), but it was enough for a family of four to share after a meal; and no one cried for more 'dessert'. Cute store. Kids will love it.
