What I cared about was the older gentleman who tapped on the door of the MC, and what happened when it was opened to him. He told the woman inside that his wife had made an appointment online, and they were there. The woman told him he'd have to wait for a phone call and then they'd let him in. He explained that his wife had a problem with her foot which was so painful she was barely able to stand and that's why they made the appointment online. The woman then got very rude, telling him that she'd said she would call him, and that she was on her lunch hour so they'd have to wait. She spoke to him in the rudest tone. I was shocked that man was treated in such a rude and condescending manner.

I said that must be a mistake, it was filled on the 28 of August for 30 days, so they told me to call back again at 2:30 that the pharmacist was too busy! I explained that I took the time to go in yesterday, and that I call in advance, I asked them to call me when they figure it out, and he said no even though I called once they can't call me back. So I started to tell him that they shorted me some pills and he hung up on me! They are busy, but they are also the rudest, most incompetent people i have ever seen. From the first time I walked in the door, the staff has been helpful and friendly. Within 3 weeks, they knew my name and my husband's name (even without ever meeting him). The neighborhood pharmacy feel is incredible. Nice touches: Ed Thomas (the head pharmacist/owner) called me after we moved our business to them to thank me. I also got a birthday call. Little touches that make me feel like they're glad we brought our business to them. I truly think there is not a better pharmacy around.

They even used third-party discount programs like GoodRx to help. That level of care seems to be gone. I understand that staffing shortages may be affecting service, but not communicating with patients about missing prescriptions is unacceptable. I rely on my medications and deserve to know why they aren't being filled or what steps I need to take.
