It all started with booking a van for 1 day. Few days before the pickup date I received a…read moreconfirmation email saying my van will be waiting at the Farnborough branch at 13:00. I went there and for my surprise the van was at another branch, as they said they could not get it there as the branch is smaller. I did not got that upset, somehow understood and happily paid £15 on taxi to the another branch. I got there, we looked around the van and the there were few dents that they said it is not classed as damage as they are smaller then a golf ball. All good and fine took the van, moved my furniture, refuelled and brought it back. On inspection they saw that 2 dents on the back of the van that said the were not there and they are from the same damage. They wanted to make me pay £250 for it. At first I did not remember them but soon after it started to come back to me that when we did the first inspection they only saw one of them, put the stencil on the van and it was not big enough to be classed as damage. After I showed them the second one and the put the stencil on the second one with the same results. Now the battle to prove that those were there when I took the van started. I asked for the CCTV and at first they said it will take a week for that and soon after that they cannot get the CCTV. After minutes of getting frustrated and angry, trying to prove myself to someone to whom I talked and showed the dents less than 20 hours ago, they said that because they are small they would not make me pay for them. As a piece of advice use your phone to take a video of the whole first inspection as they suffer from amnesia and they would make you pay for things you have not done.

Me and 2 others tried for hours to contact them but there was no answer. I had to contact the police as I was stranded on a busy main road and was unable to get assistance. After a few hours someone finally answered and said he only picked up the phone as it kept ringing! He gave me details for their breakdown policy. Sharon came out and greeted me by shouting "WHAT'VE YOU DONE TO MY VAN?" The mechanic diagnosed this as a problem with the clutch. I did not receive an apology. Both vans were filthy inside and out. Based on my experience their vehicles are not road safe and it's a matter of time before someone has a serious accident. I've since seen I'm not the first person to report similar issues. I will never use them again.

Gas Tank was just over half and they tried to charge me for a full tank on return even thought I provided photos of fuel status when picked up. Then they added a "drop off charge premium" to the rental on return which they never tell you about when renting. The car I initially reserved (great price online!) was conveniently not available so they put me in a car that was 300% the cost of their initial quote, but I had no choice but to take it. There are a lot of great rental companies out there but these guys are a mess.
