The food is extremely refined and included in the Menu there are about 10 dishes. The decor of the restaurant may not be to every-bodies tastes (a sort of refined medieval style maybe (I'm not an expert), everything is clean, high class and elegant. The service is also excellent. PS although the postal address is right, the location on the little map is wrong: the restaurant is not in Avinyonet de Puigventós, but a little further on the main road near a village/housing estate called EL MAS PAU, You take the first left then left strait away...You can see a tall Square tower from the road as you drive toward it.

There are beautiful views of the countryside around the dining room. The food was absolutely amazing. Beautifully served and tasted wonderful. We enjoyed every plate served to us. Then the staff brought out a beautiful cake for my partner's birthday, it was better than I could ever have expected! They truly made his birthday feel so special. We love El Motel, and will return when we find ourselves in Figueres again.
