    Shipping

I was super excited to receive. Unfortunately, this company has picked a shipping company that doesn't want to ship and wants to hold on to the items it has been sitting in Redding California since the 13th and now being told there is no ETA for delivery when it's supposed to be delivered today!! It is only 90 miles from where I live! I called and got the worst customer service ever she claims it can take a month or longer before receiving and not sure why Home Depot gave and ETA on there site. I paid $2200 and NO ETA I have contacted Home Depot and informed them that there's NO ETA TERRIBLE customer service they don't care! Otherwise pick a shipping company that will deliver to the customer with a ETA and deliver it by the time as possible when purchasing 18th-21st

Backyard discovery and GoConfigure worked very hard to fix this situation. They took accountability for 1 employee that was doing the wrong thing and they made it right. I appreciate their efforts and want my review to reflect how happy I am with the finished product and their efforts.

The kids are enjoying it. That's pretty much all I wanted out of the swing set. It's not amazing but it's cute. Not the best quality of construction but I don't think that is unique to this company. They are all low quality to high cost. Missing hardware and we had to get more from Home Depot. Clubhouse door is not exactly right and it sticks when kids try to use it. I can't say don't buy it but it's wouldn't exactly say this is the company you should 100% go with eit

So far this is what we have

I am disappointed with my experience with this company. Due to an error on their part my swing set was shipped to me without any hardware(nuts and bolts). This was very disappointing due to the fact that I hired a contractor to put this together and as they sorted through the set they realized that it was all missing. So I paid him for the day but had to schedule an additional day due to their error. They agreed to ship out the missing parts overnight and I received them Then the parts they shipped weren't correct and some were missing. I called in and told them and right away I was treated as it was my fault and that I must have done something wrong. I told them what parts of the playground still couldn't be assembled due to missing parts It was then asked of me to cross reference the instructions and to tell them every bolt and part number that I needed instead of them trying to work for me (the customer) by paying attention to my complaint and making this a good experience The resolution could have been very simple I let you know that the slide and bench and ladder still are missing the hardware and you send me the parts If you wanted to show that you care and stand behind your product you could even of had one of your installers come out and finish the few parts for me since I have paid for two days and still do not have a complete set due to your mistake It is a lot easier though to point the finger at me and ask me for part numbers and not offer a real solution I do not recommend this company due to lack of professionalism and care for their customer

Within 1 1/2 months of having it set up, this is what happens when some wind comes through.

Cunningham, who was the mayor of Joplin at the time. Cunningham was a significant figure in Joplin's development, contributing to various sectors such as banking, mining, and philanthropy. In 1897, Cunningham donated eight acres of land to the city for use as a public park. The deed was officially dated on July 5, 1898, and the park was dedicated in the early 1900s1. Cunningham Park became the first park in the Joplin Parks System. Over the years, the park has seen many enhancements, including the addition of a fountain, playgrounds, a swimming pool, and picnic areas. The park was also a central location for community gatherings and celebrations1. Unfortunately, the park was destroyed by an EF-5 tornado in 2011, but the community came together to rebuild it. Today, Cunningham Park stands as a symbol of resilience and community spirit. We were here to walk around the park and to see The Miracle of The Human Spirit monument. The Memorial garden is what caused me to visit and pay respect to those 161 Joplin residents that lost their lives to one of the worst tornadoes in American history. The garden consists of natural rock, sculptures, fountains, informational signage and a vast array of beautiful plants and flowers that are well maintained. The park was in the direct path of the tornado and offers great vantage points to see what was, what remains and what was rebuilt in the vicinity. My visit was during a slight rain shower with approaching storm clouds; which only added to the somber and reflective visit. A must see for anyone traveling in the vicinity of Joplin.

We passed it at first; although right off of Duquesne with a streetside sign, Ocean Adventures is in a very unassuming warehouse-esque metal building. That almost sets you up for more of a pleasant surprise when you walk inside after parking in the gravel lot behind the building (technically the front). When you walk in there are cubbies and coat hooks to deposit your things. The front desk is also right there, so not a lot of concern about things being stolen. Everyone gets a wrist band as you check in, and for the more uncooperative kiddos (one of mine) an ID sticker on their back. I didn't know this when I got there, but tickets are typically purchased in advance online as they only sell 40 tickets per session to keep it enjoyable for everyone--a policy I personally really appreciate, especially with little kids. And the unbelievable part: the tickets are only $5 T-Th and $6 F-Su. (If an adult wants to play with their kiddo, they also need a ticket, but for so little that's not a big deal for us, especially compared to prices at other kids facilities in SWMO/NWA). The facility itself: amazing. Imagine the McDonalds playset from your childhood, but without the dirty sock smell, multiple stories, more slides and a bigger ball pit. It's clean and actually smells GOOD...you can go on their website and watch/read about the cleaning routine. It's pretty impressive and the condition of the facility reflects that. I also noticed the staff making rounds every so often around the play equipment, which I also appreciated. The bulk of the play equipment is made of various nets and ropes/clear plastic windows, so your kids are almost always visible, but it's nice to see that the staff are kind of monitoring to make sure everything is in order. We really loved our visit here, our 2 hours flew by and as the kids get a little older this would be a great place to bring a book and relax at a table while they play...it's one of the few places around that feels safe enough for my comfort and entertaining enough for theirs. Until then, though, I am enjoying my excuse to "have to" play in a giant ball pit.

There is nothing quite like standing in the middle of a tall grass prairie with supercell thunderstorms all around you and you can see the gusts of wind move the grass in giant waves. While many of you will not visit in the middle of a storm chase, it's definitely a beautiful place. The small but info packed visitors center has limited days of operation, check the website before heading out there if you want to go inside it. And yes they have a herd of buffalo that sometimes you can see. Sometimes it seems the prairie swallows them up. But if you get to see them it just seems like an ideal setting for the experience. They have trails that are worth a walk. Bring your own water, don't assume you will find any at the visitors center. Naturally, 4 Stars.
