This thrift shop came highly recommended and I'd like to say it met expectations, but..,…read more I guess as far as a larger rural Iowa thrift store it was okay. The prices are reasonable and the organization is meh. I just wasn't impressed. It felt dirty and looked like not a lot of care went into anything. That things were just kind of thrown on the shelves and landed as is... Maybe we hit them on a bad day and the customers before us had torn through things haphazardly? The thrift stores in Story City and the Waterloo Cedar Falls area (and where I'm from in the Des Moines metro) are way more put together.

I'd only go out of my way for a specific sale on a specific mattress. They do have certain high end brands that other stores in Ames and other towns don't have. I don't really drive out to Nevada but depending on what you're looking for it is absolutely worth the drive.
