When I first walked in, they showed me into the waiting room which is equipped with snacks and drinks galore. The woman who washed my hair nearly put me to sleep with her relaxing head massage (in a positive way!!), and was so kind. Then I had the pleasure of chatting with Tina while she did my hair. I booked a color and cut for myself, as well as a cut for my 11 year old daughter. Whereas staff were very professional and kind, I did not receive the result I had requested. My beautician was Dawn, and I specifically requested the color I wanted. I showed her photos and everything. What I got was black hair when I requested red. Big difference. When she finally cut my hair it took a total of 2 minutes and was also not the result I had wanted. Dawn knew I was upset, and even acknowledged my frustration. However, she was out of the salon even before I could leave a tip. (I am not an animal, I still leave tips even for bad service. At least 15%) The best part was when I went up to pay. I was charged an additional $20 for a "comb through". While I haven't a clue what this is, I was still perplexed and inquired about it. I was told it was like a toner. This was crazy, as I had asked Dawn if I would need a toner and she told me no. I attempted to argue this point when paying, to no avail. I would not return to this salon. Horrible results and shady practices. The only reason I gave 2 stars was because my daughter was satisfied with her cut. She isn't the one paying, though.

The braids were the size of my thumb, and then on top of those huge braids they placed the crochet hair, making it sit on her head like a wig. To make matters worse, they left the entire back of her head with no hair, and the braiding was so lumpy that it looked careless and unprofessional. When she went back to express her concerns, instead of correcting their poor work, they told her she would have to pay again to fix it. That is absolutely unacceptable. For the money spent, the service and quality were nowhere near what anyone should expect. It was sloppy, rushed, and not worth the price. Do not put your head in their hands. Stay away!

Made an appointment for knotless braids on 6/20/26 @ 5:30 pm with Adwoa. While filling out the form…read moreI noticed that Adwoa was not listed on the drop down menu so I sent a text message for assistance. I received a reply stating to go ahead and book and she would make a note that I'd only like to be paired with Adwoa. I thanked her and attempted to book but could not bypass the question for the Braider so I put anyone available. When I book, I always answer the question No to being paired with someone else if need be. I received several confirmation texts and emails with my appointment time for 5:30 pm with Adwoa. The day of my visit at 12:11 pm I received a text with an appointment reminder with Pokes. That same day at 2:30 pm I was asked to come at 4:30 pm which I agreed. At 2:55 pm I then received another text with an appointment reminder for Helena at 4pm. At that point I decided to keep my 4:30 pm because I would not have made the 4pm which I'm glad I did because she was still busy with another customer and did not get to me until 5pm. That is 2 changes to the Braider and 2 changes to the time. When I asked the Booker about all the changes and why I was rescheduled with 2 different people she said sometimes there are issues and they have to switch Braiders. She then asked if I listed on the appointment slip that I did not want to be paired with someone else and I told her Yes. She pulled up the appointment and showed me that I had requested anyone available but I explained to her that I was not able to leave that part blank because Adwoa was not listed on the drop down menu and that she had said she would make sure I was paired with Adwoa. She did apologize but that was not enough. She should have remembered my request or once I arrived, explained to me why I had been switched around and rescheduled. Although Helena did a good job on my hair, I think that this was a major miscommunication issue. I did reach out to Mimi as she requested before you do a review, but after more than 24 hours not hearing back from her, I decided to go ahead and do the review even though I was reluctant. I have been to this shop many times but this really disappointed and frustrated me that it was handled so poorly.
