Tonya Ayers…read more I came into this salon and saw Tonya ayers wanting to go a little blonder than I currently am. I was a dirty blonde. With highlights of blonde in my hair. She said that was doable. Over the course of me being there for 9 hours. 12pm to 9pm. She did nothing but foil over my hair and dump bleach on it the entire time. She then proceeded to start doing another clients hair. And left me in the chair with half my hair foiled up and the other half still in a clip. For an hour. Then she finally returned to me. After she had bleached my entire head of hair. She then proceeded to rinse me. And add toner to my hair. While toning my hair it felt so uncomfortable I told her it was burning. And she said it was normal for the amount of chemicals she put in my hair. Then took me back to the chair. And blow dried 1 section and then told me she didn't have time to blow dry my whole head. I told her it didn't look right. And she said it's just cause it's wet. And it will look good when it dries. So after leaving the salon with soaking wet hair. The following morning. I was able to see the damage. She had completely bleached my entire head of hair. I was left with bright yellow hair. With patches of orange in. It looked completely uneven and horrible. After texting her letting her know she needed to fix it. She told me she would be toning it with more foil. And that she would not be blow drying it again. I didn't feel comfortable seeing her again. I was terrified. Before going to ulta I had asked multiple other professional hair stylists. Who also said that it was completely damaged. And to do what I wanted didn't require that amount of bleach. All she had to do was add full blonde highlights. So I went to ulta who had to do a reverse color correction. To try to remove all the damage. Tonya had left me with. Ulta had told me my hair was so beyond damaged to the point where I couldn't even brush my hair while it was wet. Because it could fall out. They also told me I wouldn't be able to dye it for years. Because of the amount of damage Tonya caused. They took no responsibility, offered no compensation, and even acted like this was somehow my fault. The emotional whiplash of being told you have treatments you paid for, then having them suddenly disappear, was completely dismissed. I emailed corporate multiple times and received no real help or accountability. They also overcharge, charging the same price for face-only Clear + Brilliant as other med spas that include neck and chest. Unprofessional, careless, and untrustworthy. Once they have your money, you're on your own. Avoid.
